    Anyone else concerned Spurs shooting so well and only up two, or just happy we are winning?

    Also, grizz have had more fouls called on them this game than the spurs, was shocked to see that!
    I am very alarmed. To me, that was almost a nightmare half. Mem took Spurs supposed best shot (best shooting of the series, TP awake, Tiago getting minutes, must win game, Tony Allen talking ....) and only trail two. They are still doing the same consistent things and they are forcing the number one seed to make every single damn adjustment and none of it is really working well.

    Tim has been extremely efficient at scoring this series, it's one bad half from him.
    I just see him out there struggling to find a rhythm, especially with his post game. He doesn't get the ball in there enough to "figure out" the defense, both the help D and his defender. Idk...at this point with the way the Spurs utilize him, I expect no more than 15-16 points from Timmy...and that's if he's on a roll. Tonight is looking like one of those 8 point nights where nothing falls.

    I hope I'm wrong because I feel like the team will need his scoring in the 2nd half. Tony can't keep being perfect from the field.

    Turnovers are killing us at this point. Players are bound to make shots, but we have to limit the turnovers.

    We got the lead playing well, if we see Split with Duncan for the most of the rest of the game I think we can shut em down. Tiago's size alone helps so much and Bonner is still missing 3's so him.

    I think we can win without it ... but Spurs have to defend the three as well then
    The way they've been closing out games, we need a sizeable lead... and it's going to be tough without hitting 3's...

    Conley, Allen and Vasquez would probably see garbage minutes on a true contender, and here they are challenging Manu/TP/Hill and coming out ahead. Unbelievable.

    It's a game to game thing, IMO... Hill played scared less out there so far...
    Hope he gets better, because I'm sure we're rolling with him...
    you're right, Hill did not respond to even more minutes Pop gave him

    A team can shoot 90%, but if they turn the ball over 90% of the time, the 90% shooting doesn't mean ...

    Man, it'd be nice if the Grizzlies actually make consecutive mistakes for the first time in this series ...........

    Some simple adjustments which I believe would help;

    Splitter/Manu Pick and roll...the memphis bigs are not that mobile and Manu/Splitter could kill them...

    On spurs passing;

    Make a pump fake or two before passing and backdoor their ass...they are overplaying every ing passing lane and getting away with it...

    And...

    of course..More Duncan & Splitter at the same time.

    Hill playing putrid basketball, he needs a very short leash in the 2nd half. Have to say, as a fan of his I'm really disappointed in him.

    Splitter productive...third or fourth leading scorer?

    They're showing signs of life, but they're far from being themselves. They could rattle off four straight against this team, but I hope they don't put themselves in a position where they have to.

    Dude when I see the way Gasol and Randolph are passing, how they get so many calls, and how EVERYTHING just seems to go their way I have to wonder who the on that team sold their soul to the devil.

    He's as good as ever on defense though. They need to just stop going to him in the post and let him play 40 minutes protecting the paint.
    In your heart you know he's not. He's still great, and he's still Timmy, but he gives up shots now that he didn't before. Not to mention the boards that give the other teams second chance points. That offensive board he gave up to Gasol on the FT that gave the Griz a 4-point play. Never would have happened just a few years ago. He can't tip them up 3 or 4 times before finally coming down with the ball. That's a big part of the defense. We hold teams to reasonable shooting percentages - on the first try. Then they shoot about 80% on second chance ops because the defense is out of position.

    With Memphis making crazy/timely shots, their activity on defense (and the Spurs' overpassing) and the officiating (if it remains the way it's been called) this game TOO should come down to the wire....though I'd love to pull away.
