Why not take every opportunity to make every event that ever happens about politics?

What's most striking to me in the effort to allocate credit for Bin Laden's demise is that virtually everyone who was intimately involved in that operation has (likely) been working on this project since the Bush Presidency and through the Obama Presidency. The killing is certainly good political news for Obama; but if we're objectively divvying up credit for that event coming to pass, the many non-political analysts and soldiers who meticulously developed the intelligence, planned the operation, and carried out the plan in such an efficient manner (getting both their man and a haul of additional information) strike me as the people who actually deserve the most credit here. Partisan hacks like DarrinS and boutonski have either had their objectivity surgically removed or it has withered in abject atrophy.

Congress is to blame. All spending bills originate there. The presidents are to blame to the point that they OK'd the spending.

    Wait...

The voters are actually to blame for continually electing liberals and RINO's who spend the money the way we vote for them too!

Both parties are wrong. The voters are greedy. We need the Tea Party ideals.

leaving it low to increase demand for ur exports, but whose actually buying ur when you run by ur set of ty laws compared to the EU and others, no one wants to buy ur agriculture products cause its GM crap injected with hormone crap

even with the increase in exports, mainly other products, how m uch of that money is gong back to the country in taxes or are they transit into foreign owned companies offshores in tax haven countries....doesnt really make a difference

the value of the dollar is not even worth the paper its printed on
I know a currency that depreciates is more desirable in international markets. My question is, if Nbadan is referring to Quan ative easing, that's more of a function of monetary policy and the central bank than President Obama.

Why is it that conservatives insist on Bush getting credit for "laying the groundwork" for getting UBL (even though Obama has been in office for 2 years now), but they won't acknowledge Bush laid the groundwork for the recession and economic meltdown we are still fighting are way out of 2 years later? Not to mention when the towers came down, Conservatives insisted it was Clinton's fault a successful attack was launched by UBL...even though Bush was in office for over 2 years

I do agree Bush and Barack both deserve credit for getting this asshole btw
Because we live in such a hyper partisan world where everyone seems to have to choose a side and all good things should either be credit towards them (or shared when out of power) and all bad things are the fault of the other party.

We have people like DarrinS who would have you believe if we got rid of all the democrats (the holier than thou, wealthy liberals who want to spend all your money on unions and the lazy/unemployed), the deficit would go away, jobs would return and the American dream is in reach for everyone who works hard and wants it. (cause if you are poor and struggling – you just didn’t want it enough)

Then we have people like boutons who would have you believe that the pure evil that is a repug-lican is at fault for all the wrongs in the world (no really, all the wrongs-poverty, slavery, extinction of the dinosaurs) and if we got rid of all them we’d live in a peaceful world where you don’t have to worry about them breaking down your door one day to stomp on your kittens and take all of your money to give to the oil companies.

I really enjoy that we do have posters like Teysha who can post their thoughts and opinions regularly without having to look through such a narrow viewpoint that actually is what is poisoning our country. if our country wasn't so divided right now and unwilling to compromise with the other side, a lot more cpould be achieved. But because neither party wants to give the other one something to campaign on, we get the good old gridlock we have now. (Which I understand is the fault of either the evil VRWC or that Muslim Kenyan who faked a birth certificate to become President of our country and our liberal media is too scared to call him out)

You lost me at the end. You're a damn fool if you assumed a Muslim Kenyan could become leader of the free world without necessary and obvious requirements. The entire birth certificate fiasco was an embarrassment to the nation.

It's funny that you bring up the division issue. We can all blame republicans for keeping Obama from doing what he wanted to do to help decrease the ac ulating debt. It's funny that conservatives bash him for that, when it could be fixed by getting rid of the Bush tax cuts and raising taxes on the 250K+

The only reason people want to give Bush credit, is because they hate Obama.... simple as that.

At the risk of belaboring the obvious, the federal budget deficit didn’t just suddenly arise solely because of actions taken by Democrats over the last two years. As a recent report from Pew makes clear, the bulk of it results from a recession that began in December 2007 and actions taken by Republicans when they were in power: huge tax cuts, two unfunded wars, and new spending programs such as Medicare Part D. Furthermore, Republicans themselves admit that even if their budget plans were enacted in every detail and spending is slashed, the government would still run deficits of more than $5 trillion over the next 10 years; that is what would result from the budget drafted by Rep. Paul Ryan, which all but 4 Republicans in the House voted for on April 15.

    For the record, these are the deficits that House Republicans officially support (fiscal years): 2012: $995 billion; 2013: $698 billion; 2014: $489 billion; 2015: $431 billion; 2016: $478 billion; 2017: $407 billion; 2018: $378 billion; 2019: $415 billion; 2020: $405 billion; and 2021: $391 billion.

To vote for $5 trillion in additional deficits – not to mention all of the legislation that got us to today’s deficit – and then oppose allowing the Treasury to borrow funds to cover the lost revenue from tax cuts and the spending Congress enacted into law is nothing but reckless grandstanding.

The Bush tax cuts were set to expire. It's not the republicans fault that Obama extended them.
