I met Dave and I've met Tim. Honestly, Tim is nicer. Dave is a great community guy, and has done so much for San Antonio, but when it comes to friendly and having personality, Tim outshines Dave.

My point is don't know about high priced millionaires sometimes....
dude, I'm a low-priced thousandaire (when I'm lucky) and I do for the kids or anyone else for that matter. Chances are that I'd be a total asshole if we ever interacted anywhere in public. Point being, I'm your average guy. If I was a Millionaire, I'd probably have you and your entire family killed just for breathing on me in the HEB. Be happy that Tim or any other NBA star does what he does for the community. If it was you or me, those poor kids would starve to death.

I think people are losing sight of the fact that if wasn't for fans, people like Tim Duncan would be flipping burgers. It's totally appropriate to expect something from them. It's the least they can do, to sign a child's autograph.

    Awesome logic there.

If it wasn't for computers buyers, Steve Jobs and Bill Gates would be flipping burgers. Should they also be at the mercy of the childish masses?

Should I expect Denzel Washington to wash my car if I watch his movies?

hey guy I've never met, sign this thing I'm shoving in your face as you're walking to the locker room to throw up or or cry or something else I can't understand because I'm not expected to score 30 points every night on demand.

Tim probably would be swimming if it were not for bball and we would hardly know him! I am glad he brought my fave team 4 lles as a fan and all the memories, and I don't need an autograph to make him my fave player of all times! If I saw him I would nod or say you are the man TIM! That is all. If he signs every auto for every kid he sees in public that would be his life!

I am sure he has signed ALOT and done alot in his lifetime, on top of that brought us 4 les as fans and countless memories! Peace.

Horrible logic here. lol Considering both of them have genius-level IQs.

Also, nobody asked someone to wash their car. Some children asked for a simple autograph. Not only should he have done it for previous reasons stated, but he should be flattered.

His two sisters are college educated, and not NBA stars.

Do you think athletic scholarships are the only way through college?

Famous people don't owe you . If he signs at games and Spurs events where signing is expected, I'm OK with that.

Of course they do, because without people like me they wouldn't enjoy the luxuries that they currently enjoy. They would be living paycheck-to-paycheck.

He wasnt asked to sign anything. It was a picture with kids. If it was an adult thing understandable, OK. All he had to do was stand there. Really, Tim???

Lol, you're a whiny little moron. If I was Tim, I'd never sign autographs, especially not for some spoiled ass little kids.
Please read. It was a picture. And I'm nt whiny. Just pointing out that things were cool in the old days when the Spurs were making 50k (a lot back then). . The Spurs would drink with the fans at the Lone Star Pavilion. Now the mind set is different. You can't tell me the money has nothing to do with it cause it does. Athletes today are constantly told how great they are. And sorry, nt spoiled, just came off a big comeback victory and saw one of their heroes...

So, go to a signing event or a game. It's not your ing goodwill that pays his salary, it's hard cash put down in support of your team. Tim doesn't make a dime out of both of you being at HEB, or the theater, or anywhere else you happen to run into him.

It matters where you run into Tim. If he is alone or with the guys it is very different than when he is with his wife and kids. I would hope that fans would get the difference. Dave is pretty much the same always.

I think David is nice, friendly and polite almost all the time. Honestly, I have heard of Tim (and almost everyone else) turning down kids for autographs/pictures many times before. It just depends on when you catch him. If he's with his family, running late, busy, in a bad mood, whatever -- then he might say, "Sorry, not right now" -- and there's nothing wrong with that.
