Dominique Wheeler to tech.. Seems about right.
More Texas QB news. ESPN's update on Connor Wood after last week's update on Case McCoy...
"Turns out redshirt freshman QB Connor Wood may be thinking along the same lines as Case McCoy. "I honestly was expecting that (Wood would transfer) sooner," a source told Blake Munroe of InsideTexas.com. "He thinks he is the best out of the group so he should try and play."
"The source in the McCoy item below echoed the above sentiment: "I know Wood is doing everything possible to refine his game and he's been working in private with a quarterback coach. Whenever the coaches do name the starters, I'll still stand by my statement 100 percent and tell you that someone will be transferring. I'm not sure if it will be Wood or McCoy, but someone will be gone in the long run."
Like I said earlier in this thread, I didn't want Texas to have anything to do with Wheeler. He reminds me exactly of Lache Seastrunk. I'll take Thomas Johnson and Cayleb Jones over him all week and twice on Sunday.
As for DGB, that's very exciting news. That guy is a serious game changer.
Spring Westfield DL Anthony Smith also committed to Tech yesterday. Smith is a bit undersized, but he can play. Tubbs is starting to put it together in Lubbock. He's not the offensive mind that Leach was, but he can recruit his ass off. Tech is starting to put together a damn good DL.
Oh well. The conference needs to be strong from top to bottom. With Nebraska leaving, teams like Tech and Missouri will need to step up for conference respectability and strength of schedule.
lol them Ole Miss and Arizona s being ranked as high as Texas on NCAA 12
u mad ut s?
Any DGB news? I read that Dorial will also be meeting with the Texas Basketball staff today.
Nothing yet, bud. I know he was still on campus as of 1:30. Hoping they stay the night once more.
Oklahoma just nabbed a big commitment from OL Ty Darlington of Apopka, FL:

I hope so Floss. Driving back to Missouri all night sounds painful. Personally, I'd spend the night and drive back in the morning.
Good pick up for OU. Darlington is one of the top rated centers in the country. OU has now pulled 3 pretty good recruits out of Florida this year. Let's hope Texas has similar success in Florida with Agholor and Marcell Harris.
Tech just picked up Fort Bend Marshall OLB Ryan Flannigan. Tubbs is on a roll. They might complete their 2012 class by the end of the weekend.
A&M offered him a scholarship too.
To be fair, A&M offers every breathing football player in Texas.
This Pop, is true. Aggie just offered the entire Brenham Junior High 7th grade A team. Package deals accepted.
I know you'll be mad when Johnathan Gray, Malcolm Brown and the entire Texas football team walk into "The Grove" and smash Ole Massa.
Inside Texas' Blake Monroe is reporting that Andrus Peat will visit Texas within the next 3-4 weeks. Not the firm date we've been looking for, but this latest update is from the Peats. Peat is at Michigan today.
Gig Em 247 podcast with Gerry Hamilton and Jeff Howe. Definitely worth a listen if you can get past Taylor Hamm. Aggie and Texas 2012 and 2013 targets are discussed.
I miss the Inside Texas Recruiting Podcasts with Jeff Howe. Hopefully Blake Monroe will do the podcasts more often.
Sorry here's the link : http://gigem247.podbean.com/
Yes there's some DGB stuff in there.
I'm surprised as well, it is too quiet.
Then wheeler to a&m would have sounded just as right as it does for tech.
And frankly every program has a bunch of dumb asses on the team.
Just score tds on saturday and we are good.
Well... some have claimed Wheeler is trouble (could just be non-sense though), so he does come with a word of caution. I don't think the Ohio State fans would agree that it's only about what goes on Saturday though.
Part of "just score tds on saturday" means you have to be eligible to play on saturdays.
