pretty slow start for everybody... we'll see what happens wed
Oh well... at least we had 3 goals
pretty slow start for everybody... we'll see what happens wed
Hey at least it wasn't 3-0!
tbh why didn't Davila play at all?! Davila, Gio and Pacheco need to play up front if we want to score goals. and that ref was joke.
Think Mexico's under-17 would've done better tbh.
Hmmm... only two teams that lost so far are CONCACAF?
No son, both teams were only allowed to take their C teams.![]()
Was Costa Rica more than C rated ever though?
I think last time we played a friendly against them, some of the players were plumbers and lol
Wasn't this supossed to be a young Mexico team? Most of these players were 25+ years old. At least that's what the broadcasters said.
Under 22 + 5 refuerzos. And the 5 refuerzos they brought are terrible.
This was the first time that team ever played together. No prior friendlies or anything after those 8 players were suspended.
Here's the squad all under 22 except for the 5 and many of them with 0 caps.

Did all of the "refuerzos" started?
Only 4 of them did and one is the Goalie.
I ask you because when the broacasters anounced the starting line-up they also said the age of every player and I was surprised to see so many 25+ years old players.
Yeah, it's basically like the Olympics. U23 team plus 3 over the age. Except for copa america they allowed Mex and Costa Rica to bring 5.
Glad I listened to OK Computer instead of watching second half.
Not that it matters... but I'm curious to know if FIFA will hold these results against Mexico in their next ranking (or if they get thrown out on account of the restriction applied by one of their own governing bodies; i.e. CONCACAF)...
Oh and the U-17 team + Gio + Michel would have done way better than this squad... I'm really surprised at the ball-control, finesse, game-vision, and speed that the U-17 squad is playing with at the moment...
LOL Paúl Aguilar...
LOL No. 15 (who was that bald guy?.. he sux, and he's slow as molasses)...
LOL Rafa Marquez Lugo...
LOL Carlos Vela... (![]()
Arsenal)
LOL Jonathan Dos Santos.... errr.. wait n/v
and
LOL at other's attempts to discredit Mexican Football in light of the imposed cir stances (non-Mexicans I'm looking at you)...but I guess I should mention the fact that the Mexican League has the most footballers represented in the Copa America tournament right now...
Only because the entire Mexican roster minus Gio plays there. Remove players who play in their own domestics and Italy and Spain are much higher (near 30 players in CA'11) and Mexico is near the same numbers as those in England (~15 players).

I'd be interested to hear about the FIFA rankings as well for Mexico. I know the olympics don't count towards the rankings, and that's essentially what this is for Mexico and CR, but I bet they get included anyway. I don't imagine a win v Mexico can count for ____ (Chile or whomever) but not show on Mexico at all.
tbh feeling the need to place those additional qualifers 'comes off' as more 'discrediting'... Mexico's A-team still has players in their domestic league to have kept them up there (as far as league representation is concerned)...
Aldo De Nigris (who will now be headed to Europe)
Ricardo Osorio
Memo Ochoa
Zinha
Gerardo Torrado
Israel Castro
Hector Reynoso
Ludueñas (sp?)
etc...
I don't think anyone in their right mind believes Mexico's C-team is expected to perform anything but poorly against everybody else's A-team (Chile and Uruguay are pretty strong teams)... the surprise would be if Mexico actually won a game in this tournament...
sigh... I'm still pissed Mexico's A-team isn't there... for that matter, I'm also pissed that the USNT turned down the invite.
Memo's gone too..
tbh, WGAF about FIFA's ranking...
mexicans do. they cannot afford to lose their precious FIFA ranking. a ranking hard earned by playing powerhouses like El Salvador, Belize and Guatemala.
Daaaaaaamn
We're everywhere

t'was curiosity alone on how they treat such matters... (no need for the implied condescension...)
No... I figure Mexico's ranking is somewhere between 9-16th... that's where they've ended up after each of the last 5 World Cups (after climbing out of the group stage in each of those tournaments)...
No way, you can't compare the level of compe ion the U-17 is facing with the level of the Copa America. The U-17 squad would have lost by at least 3 goals against Chile, they're still kids, there's too much difference. Bealive me I know from experience.
Who has done that?LOL at other's attempts to discredit Mexican Football in light of the imposed cir stances (non-Mexicans I'm looking at you)...
