I can't look at Bradley Cooper's face without wanting to slug him. It's very irrational.

    No, it's actually quite normal.

No, some people just appreciate the literary version of a work better than the film version because of the greater detail. People think that Shawshank was a good movie because the story was so good. And it is. That doesn't change the fact that film does not capture it nearly as well as Stephen King's novella.

    Try again, dumbass.
As far as adaptations go, Stephen King gets his movies closer than most other writers...but when did anyone say that a movie is supposed to match the detail of a novel?

As a movie it stands on it's own-but a dumb like you would rather see stupid fantasy crap that could never happen.

A moron like you could never understand the achingly beautiful writing and interpretation accomplished by the tandem of Stephen King & Frank Darabont.

It was a good movie and if I really wanted to take the time to break it down it would be limitless so I'll just say it was an enjoyable film and leave it at that. The acting was top notch.

I love Edward Zwick's work, many of his films narrated by different characters through their letters to eachother or by their journals. Glory, Legends of The Fall, The Last Samurai. All great films in my opinion. I love those movies very much.

Apocalypse Now is another good one.

    Naked Gun series as well
    Out of the Past tbh

It had Hollywood's GOAT Robert Mitchum narrating it in his mega badass prime.

Best movie of the 1940s tbh

I'll have to check it out sometime. My favorite Mitchum film is Night of the Hunter...the movie's 60 years old but his character (Reverend Powell) is still one of the most frightening villains ever.

I read Shawshank way before it came out on film so maybe thats why it didn't bother me there. However, I also don't think Shawshank is that great of a flim as most people do.

Some people have to have car chases and crashes and killings and gratuitous sex in order to enjoy a movie...

How much is too much? Every word...over five min...etc
Both of those are way to much. However i'd like to hear Liam Neeson narrate a movie.
