It's been confirmed that Dat Nguyen has contacted Dalton Santos multiple times and his mom was impressed by him as a person. However, she went on to say what I thought before...that they were going to be headed to a lot of big schools over the next few weeks. Her tone seemed to indicate that things were still very much up in the air. It seems like they are really taking their time now after rushing into a commitment with OSU, which is completely understandable. I would say it's going to be the first part of August at the earliest.

Trevor Knight has switched his commitment from A&M to Oklahoma.
Not shocking after Matt Davis committed and Manziel already on the roster.
Good get for OU though, although Knight isn't that impressive to me.
I agree DT. Knight isn't a big loss loss for Aggie, it is the 4 Aggie decommitment though. OU seems to be out of the Kiel sweepstakes, Knight could be the back up plan.

I'm okay with it. Especially with A&M and Kohl Stewart being a real possibility. Opens up another ship for our defense this class
That's not a big surprise as I figured Knight would eventually see the writing on the wall. I do wonder how that affects OU, though. Does that mean they don't feel too confident about QB Gunner Kiel? I'm hoping he goes elsewhere because Green-Beckham doesn't need another reason to choose the Sooners.
I don't know if you remember me mentioning 2013 WR Marcell Ateman of Wylie East and his teammate 2013 WR Quan Jones. Anyway, both receivers are hot names right now. Jones was supposed to be on campus this week but he's pushed his visit back to Monday the 18th.

Just read that the OU staff supposedly told Knight he's the only QB they're taking. I can't believe Kiel might actually pick Indiana. I guess it makes sense since that's his home state and OU's former offensive coordinator, Kevin Wilson, is now their head coach. Other than that, hard to believe such a high profile recruit would go to a non-football school.

Ateman has already visited. Ateman and Jones have similar builds but Ateman is currently ranked as the better prospect. I honestly don't know much about them other than the schools they're interested in because info on the 2013 kids is still surfacing.
Jones pushed is his Texas visit back a few days in order to allow him to visit Tennessee. He has UT in his top three right now.
The 2013 LSR was updated today but here's a look at the 2013 headliners from the Recruitocosm perspective. Gives us something to look forward to and talk about while times are slow. I think UT gets the majority of this list with a decent season. Who else do you guys want Texas to go after in the next class?

Some interesting news for our Aggie faithful...Santos' mom dropped in at work today to say hi to everyone. I asked how things were going and she said they were getting ready to head to College Station this weekend then Alabama, Tennessee and Arkansas next week. Then she said something I wasn't expecting...that she felt like Dalton was leaning towards A&M.
Now all that said, I still don't feel like he will fully commit this weekend. He's a kid and could easily be swayed by a harder pitch by one of the SEC programs. However, with this new info I will be less surprised if he does wind up jumping at an Aggie offer.
What's so special about Santos? I'm sure he's better than DLT but is he better than his 3 star label?
I'm shaking my head, Santos just falls into Aggie's lap. DLT get ready to be compared to Dalton Santos for the rest of your career.
In other disappointing news, John Theus just committed to Georiga. Time to push the pile of chips in on Andrus Peat. Mack is standing up and wearing snake eyes shades.
