So chile winning a group stage game agasint mexico in 1930 means that they consistently whoop mexico's ass?

And what Uruguay beat down? that 1-0 loss? yet we still made it to the next round, no?

no. My point was Mexico does not dominate Commebol when it matters most, it's actually quite the opposite. Facts show this. that was my point.

tbh, World Cup >>>>>>>>>> WC qualifiers >>>>>>> Euro Cup >>> Copa America

Copa America has been a joke of a compe ion. There were 2 great teams, 6 mediocre teams, and 2 teams always the same. Mexico came in and became just another one of the mediocre teams.

Hopefully this is changing with this copa but still to early too tell. We really don't know if the mediocre teams are finally catching up or it's just the 2 great teams slacking.

I don't know about Mexico, but all South American National Teams treat Copa America as a pre-season to the World Cup Qualifiers. The WC qualifiers is where teams really bring their A game.

I'll go ahead and give you one more example.

If you asked a South American Team to choose between winning a Copa America and attending the next World Cup. 100% of the teams would pick the 2nd choice.

Argentina hasn't had a real coach for years....... and their main issue is defense, while Argentina has the best forwards/strikers, they could easily be the "phoenix suns" of the tournament..... Brazil has the best defense in the world and everybody will play Arg counterattacking.... Sorry but I think it'll be another big disappointment .... and it'll be Messi's fault for most idiots.
did I say that???????? how in the world???? I only show up when the argies win

Colombia didn't even make it to the last WC... are you kidding me with that ranking? They've good players, but #3 in South America is seriously overrating them.

No way. I'll probably take Uruguay, Chile, Brazil, and maybe Paraguay.

What has Colombia played or done to rate them that high since the last WC??

Chepo is a disciplinarian. We'll see if it stops under his helm. Tena, on the other hand, is soft and that is why the players of the U-22 continued to party.
