Whenever I see a kid wearing a legendary number like 11, I always wonder if they asked for it. Horns are in good shape if Jackson plays half as good as DJ.
If Jackson asked for the number, I like his confidence. If the coaches gave Jackson # 11, they must think very highly of Tevin.
Jamel James would be a good pick up for Texas if Bergeron was a junior, not a freshman. Kind of bad timing that 2 very versatile, athletic running backs/ fullbacks emerged within 2 years of one another. Before Bergeron, Texas had been searching for a fullback since Ahmard Hall left.
DB Jalen Mills of DeSoto has committed to LSU. If you remember, UT brought him in this summer to camp.

Quick update on DE Eryon Barnett. He had surgery on that torn ACL of his last week (not sure why he waited so long) and is expected to miss the entire season and maybe even spring ball of 2012. I have him pegged as an attrition candidate with all of the up-and-coming talent at DB.
If you are referring to the guy in black...that's Santos. Pretty sure it's all natural too. His parents are both rather large human beings.
Danielle Hunter committed to LSU.
One would think LSU will not be offering Justin Thomas after taking Jalen Mills. I like Mills, could really come on as a late bloomer. Mills to LSU takes another DB option off the table, but it might also take one Justin Thomas suitor out of the running.
Floss if Barnett leaves the program, does Colin Blake receive an offer at that point?
I like Danielle Hunter's film a lot, I wish he would have waited longer to make a decision. The Texas staff probably wanted to evaluate Hunter during his senior season. It's likely Torshiro or bust now.
Logan Lee has reported that Dalton Santos has narrowed it down to A&M/Alabama and Tennessee and will make a decision in the next 2 weeks (He has visited all 3 schools this week). Apparently immediate playing time is a big deal for the kid.
Floss there are rumors out there that Geno Smith has committed to Alabama per Auburn Undercover. Have you heard anything about this?
Pretty much in line with everything that I've heard. Hearing from Alabama was what made him shake OSU...so now it's going to come down to how bad he wants to say close to mom(they are very close) vs. the publicity that comes with an SEC school. You can bet they were filling his head with visions of the NFL while he was there.
One thing is for sure...I'll get first hand look at him a few times this year. He plays in the same district as my nephew and when Lindale is away I will probably head to Van to watch them play as it's pretty close to me.
I've always liked the kid, back when he was an OSU commit. Definitely think he merits 4 stars and will eventually.
If he was a Texas commit, he would probably already be a 4 star tbh.

Our recruitment in DE and DB is really unusual. I have a bad feeling we will miss out on Blake and Thomas.

Not that he would accept, but I'm not sure why Justin Thomas hasn't been offered a greyshirt like Kevin Vaccaro. Thomas seems just as high on Texas as Vaccaro.
Any word on if Josh Turner is on campus? I haven't heard anything about him since he was wavering on his commitment.
Both Turner and M. Thompson are doing very well at corner during the 7 on 7 work outs. I believe both will see playing time this fall.
