Something must be wrong with the Metric System.

No, I never played touch in the street.
It was only tackle football on the field(someone's big yard) with enough players to have a solid game.
The tape would cost more than the football.
well there is your problem. So many requirements for football.
You can have a decent soccer game with 4 guys and a ball.
crofl I still have yet to see someone explain why soccer will one day overtake one of the big three in America.
crofl I think it's rather re ed you want to discuss me instead of soccer in a soccer thread.
crofl moving goalposts
so you've done it or seen it done before?
If people say soccer bores them, then by definition it's boring.
Yes, have you?
As a matter of fact I've made a football from a sheet of paper.![]()
But you can't play a game on a windy day.
not arguing pick up games in the street.
Organized football is what is very costly.
No. How did throwing a spiral go?
no kidding. As a matter of fact I've made a football from a sheet of paper.![]()
even paper football is better than paper soccer.
I threw beautiful long bombs, Blake.
In any event, its cool that you don't like soccer. Your arguments of trying to somehow substantiate that beyond it being your opinion are pretty laughable. I'm pretty sure at some point you'll fall back on the tired old "LOL I WAS TROLLING" excuse, though.
Cool. First time I've ever heard of someone making a tape football that works.
I like watching soccer fan get riled up for sure, but aside from the costs of playing organized football, I haven't claimed truth on anything else.In any event, its cool that you don't like soccer. If someone says it's boring, it is by definition 'boring'.
The word 'boring' itself is by nature an opinionated word.
Anyone trying to make anything out beyond that is rather re ed, in my opinion.
lmfao substantiate
is this a troll job too?
OK, we are being trolled
My point is that people will play/watch a sport because they like it, it doesn't matter how expensive it is.
If people like a sport they play it anyway they can, it doesn't matter if they play "tackle", "touch", 11 vs 11, 2 vs 2 or whatever. I say that tennis is more expensive to play than American football, 'cause the minimum required to play it is a lot more expensive. Not so much.
Amateur play at even the high school level costs loads more than some match between Serena and Venus.
lol why should anyone believe that tennis costs more, just because you say so.
and lmao having to buy clothes to play tennis.
it does not cost more to play organized tennis than organized tackle football.
ftr, I can/have played tennis plenty of times for no cost at the local high school. Racquet is a one time cost, roughly same as the football. Balls are +/- $3 a can. If you want to claim $3 > $0, then goody, you win that argument.
To play American football the only thing you need is a ball. To play tennis the very least you need is a racquet and a ball (you actually need a court too, but if you want I'll not count that).
Let's not count the tenis balls, a racquet > a football in terms of "expensiveness".
Your premise is that American football isn't popular worldwide 'cause it is too expensive to play, but that isn't true, American football isn't popular worlwide simply 'cause people don't give a .
organized American tackle football is just not an accessible sport for the masses to play, primarily due to the costs, imo.
the American sport of basketball is cheap to play, easy to learn and accessible to the masses.
It wouldn't surprise me at all if basketball some day became the world's most popular sport.
No school that I know of gives scholarships for touch football. Doubtful they would ever sell tickets to watch it if they did, imo.If people like a sport they play it anyway they can, it doesn't matter if they play "tackle", "touch", 11 vs 11, 2 vs 2 or whatever.
The rules aren't exactly simple for football either. In soccer and basketball, you pick up the ball and you pretty much know what to do.
Football, not so much, imo.
Great, I say you're still wrong.I say that tennis is more expensive to play than American football, 'cause the minimum required to play it is a lot more expensive.
Winning payouts aside, it is absolutely true that playing organized high school tackle football costs more than organized professional tennis. To play American football the only thing you need is a ball. To play tennis the very least you need is a racquet and a ball (you actually need a court too, but if you want I'll not count that).

People don't give a because they really don't have either the desire or the means to fund it, imo.
TBH, I hate the fact that Americans, (most notoriously, Texans) spend tax money on building multi-million dollar high school football stadiums.
different cultures.
americans are used to high scoring sports.
Not to mention those non free-throw baskets count for 2 or 3 points![]()
but the ball still goes through the hoop about 50+ times a game.
Get rid of the goalie, shrink the size of the goal and the field, maybe raise the goal up ten feet in the air and then maybe soccer has something worth watching, imo.
