UT's latest commitment, K Nick Jordan of Coppell, has been named an Army All-American. We'll get to see him kick a bit before he enrolls at UT.

Interesting article on former five-star WR Trey Metoyer of Whitehouse who is currently committed to Oklahoma. Looks like he won't even be eligible for JUCO ball this fall even though it's been reported he was close to enrolling in Norman.

Unbelievable to think about, but QB Connor Brewer and his Scottsdale Chaparral squad are already playing their first game on Saturday in the Rivals High Game of the Week. I can't find any info on television schedule right now, but it might be on FSNSW. Someone please post it if you come across it.

DB Leo Thomas of San Antonio Sam Houston committed to Arizona on Tuesday all but blowing up the idea of DT Javonte Magee and his buddies attending the same school together. Magee apparently reached out to Duane Akina in the past month, but I'm not sure the staff wants to deal with that high school after DT Quincy Russell's recruitment.

I have a hard time believing that anyone other than Gilbert will trot out there against Rice because I've gotten so used to Brown's emphasis on experience (sometimes not playing the better player because of age), but this Friday's scrimmage should tell a story. The coaches are going to have to start giving the majority of the reps to two guys and not four as the season gets closer. I think Ash is at least #2 right now.
whoever is out there at QB on gameday, as long as they dont turn it over 10 times a game, it will be an infinite improvement over last year
Strictly a rumor at this point, but it's been out there for a few days now. Lots of noise about QB Connor Wood transferring. Not sure why Tennessee would be his destination, but that's the school being talked about. Most of us have been waiting on this to happen as he's been a popular name when talking about potential transfers, so we'll see if anything comes of it. I don't see him ever getting significant time at UT (especially if Ash is coming along as well as some say).

I like what I hear of Diaz though, sounds like he has some good stuff going for the defense.
