I bought 5 3 32 gig 2 16 gig sold a 16 gig already for $300 in craigslist
Went ahead and bought one through an amazon affiliate where it said "fullfilled by amazon". Amazon handles all customer service and returns for those guys so when it gets here I'm ot going to open it. I"ll wait until I get my refund before messing with it.
Jess is buying one right now and it appears she was able to get one directly through amazon for full price. She's probably a shoe in to get the full refund.
cancelled my order through the affiliate and got one directly through amazon. Pretty sure they'll refund the money though.
BTW my hp.com order still says "order being verified". I got one this morning at office depot and gave it to my wife.... This freakin thing has some amazing speakers.
So just spoke with them at Amazon and they didn't inspire confidence that they would actually issue the refund for the difference so we cancelled our orders.

Yeah not for 100 dollars but if you use the adage time is money etc etc. Glad you were able to get one. Everywehre I went here said that someoe came in early and bought them all up. Would not be surprised to see them on craigslist soon.

Viewsonic G has good specs and there are roms for it. Tempting. This Touchpad debacle will likely see me spend more money now!

Dude you shouldnt have cancelled apparently HP is offering partial refunds to honor the price they sold at its all over twitter.
just search on twitter hp touchpad youll see hundreds of posts about this.
I played with one of mine today. I will say this it's a far cry from an Ipad 2. Flash is nice although it stutters a bit sometimes.
Not too many apps id say under 1000 which pales in comparison to both Android Market and Apple app store. No way to take photos with the front facing camera (unless you buy an app) that front facing cam is only for Skype video chat and its a 1.3 mp sensor.
It would be great for a kid but I feel great about buying the Ipad 2 its much nicer, snappier, colors are brighter on ipad as well. However sometimes the page loading on the touchpad is faster for websites. The speakers on the touchpad are pretty nice there's two of them and its got Beats by Dre technology or whatever the that is sounds nice.
Back of case is black plastic and finger print magnet, noticeably heavier than ipad 2.

check out precentral those guys were real good on apps for the pre when it came out they might have some shortcuts for the hp since its the same operating system
Yeah but HP aws only giving refunds on the touchpads they sold directly and not tabs sold by retailers.

I didn't buy any so no offense taken. After I called the guy made it seem like they just wanted to wipe their hands of the touchpad mess so I didn't want to chance it. JUdging by how they just removed it as an item I'm glad I did.

Its not meant to be - had problems with pay pal so wasn't able to process that ebay purchase.
I did read about people getting partial refunds on amazon purchases so it looks as though I did get owned there too.
Someone is obviously trying to tell me not to buy one. I should listen.
That ebay listing was a major NYC retailer so thats why they sold so many.
