    Still waiting to hear from B&N. Tiger direct, compusa and circuit city all went live around 2 I was in the process of getting one but paypal got stuck!

    judging by the times people placed their orders and have theirs cancelled I will likely get mine cancelled as well. As long as the best buy order goes through I'm fine with it being cancelled.

    There is no ing excuse for the incompetence at all these e-commerce sites. You have X units, you decrement a counter (in a database with locking, of course) until you have 0 and then quit offering the damned things.

    gonna be a painful wait tomorrow to see if onsale at least gives us our fates either shipped or canceled. i got mine in at 230 pm or 530 eastern. im not feeling so optimistic right now. I did see HP say and precentral there are more on the way but given that hp way overordered and are now trying to fulfil backorders the new ones coming will go even faster. i only want 1. ebay, i wont support the bas s. barnes and noble lost my business. which means very little since they never had it to begin wtih.

    Yeah I think that should be the case too. Can you imagine if ticketmaster ra their business like this?

    SMH - only sites I have heard of not having these issues are Best Buy and any retailer using ebay as their "store".

    Only a matter of time, IMO.

    Web OS is ok but I have no clue why anyone would prefer it to Android. I have yet to install preware so maybe thats one reason I don't get it but so far it seems super limited.

    Funny how nobody in that thread has actually confirmed getting one. If they're out there, the employees are snapping them up to sell on Ebay/Craiglist/etc.

    Poor HP. They will probably have the #2 selling tablet in the world for the week and all it took was selling it for a third of cost.
