So you agree that Buffett has no issue with the Buffett Rule and that Yoni has no idea what he is talking about?
Quote the specific part of what he said that you gleaned this from.
Its an unfortunate by product of the two party, winner take all system.
It seems to me that what the Obama administration want's to call the Buffett Rule, is a bas ization of his idea.
I agree with Yoni. He sees the separation of Buffett's idea, and how the other tax is being talked about side by side, which is not endorsed by Buffett. I think the confusion arises from not separating the different ideas. Buffett in the video says he supports what Obama is trying to do, but indicates it is a different program. He says he will wait until he sees the legislation to agree or disagree with the other tax change.
That his proposal, which isn't the "Buffet Rule".
He said he's not commenting on the "Buffet Rule" or other proposals.
Are you this dumb?
ding ding ding... took you a while.
The "Buffet Rule" is a different proposal that might encompass some of what he proposed, but he choose not to comment on.
Really?
My first post in this thread:
No. Buffett indirectly says he would not increase taxes on earned income paid under the standard income tax tables for earned income.I think he was pointing out that Obama is unreasonable in the way he wants to tax, and Buffett is pissed about the Obama administration calling his [Obama's] taxation "The Buffett Rule."
But that statement actually does not have anything to do with what Buffet said.
He wasn't commenting on the "Buffet Rule". Darn, you're dense or stupid or both.
He made comments on both.
Yoni said "Obama also wants all those millionaires and billionaires, making $250,000.00 and over, to fall under the "Buffett Rule.""
Please explain to me how you agree with that statement as that is what I said he was talking out of his asshole about and what you initially challenged me on.
So you post a video that is in direct conflict with what Yoni says after you said you agree with him? Yoni said that people making between $250k and $9.99K per year would be affected by the Buffet Rule. You say you agree with Yoni and then post a video of Buffett explaining exactly what I said but what you claimed I was talking out of my ass about? Smart.
We don't call him Wild Dumbass for nothing. Keep up the comedy relief, parts changer.
He says specifically that he is not commenting on that package and apparently talking about a different package means you are talking about that package anyway.CNBC: "Does that mean you disagree with the president's new jobs proposal which would be paid for by raising taxes on households with incomes of over $250,000."
Buffett: "That's another program that I won't be discussing. My program is to have a tax on ultra-rich people who are very tax rates. Not just all rich people. It would probably apply to 50,000 people in a population of 300 million."
Have to love it.
If I misread what Yoni said, I'm sorry. He doesn't say much, but appears to me that he is separating the two. The point I see him making is that the $250k+ is not part of the Buffett rule, just because they are high wage earners. To qualify under the Buffett rule means having income outside of filing on the Schedule X, Y-1, Y-2, or Z tax tables.
Yoni does not say that. He says the administration wants to include those under the Buffet Rule. He says:He sees the distinction.Obama also wants all those millionaires and billionaires, making $250,000.00 and over, to fall under the "Buffett Rule."
But people making between 250 and 1M will not "fall under the buffet rule", so Yoni was wrong and I pointed that out. You jumped in and suggested that I was talking out of my ass and followed that up with agreeing with Yoni, which means you too are wrong.
Have you not been following the news? They are going to call the package "The Buffet Rule." I understood Yoni's complaint, why is it that hard? He clearly knows the difference.
Why are you making this about Yoni anyway?
I have been following the news and have yet to hear anyone refer to Obama's jobs bill as the buffett rule. I simply called out yoni's uninformed position and you lashed out in a fit of rage because one of your fellow right-wing idealogues was called on his bull uniformed statement.
Call it what you will. Doesn't matter to me. I'm done with this petty argument.
On the Buffet Rule:
"That's another program that I won't be discussing"
Really? Are you dumb?
There really is no argument tbh. The buffet rule won't affect people making less than $1M.
The rich planters in the south used to dominate the political landscape in large part because they would include poor whites in their social policies. Not economic of course.
Now this is not to claim that the current GOP is a bunch of racist pricks although it is no coincidence that those former southern democrats defected to the GOP in the 70s and 80s. I see a very similar approach with the GOPs politics.
I just think its hilarious that someone that is middle class like WC spouts the dogma of those ultra rich as if he has any horse in that race but its similar cir stances. Its just a different group of stupid crackers.
My horse in the race is being employed by millionaires.
Unless you're changing parts for a hedge fund, you're employer is likely not going to be affected by the buffett rule. You need to start voting for you're own financial interests instead of being a mindless shill for people who don't have your financial interest in mind in an effort to vote for a republican party your dad voted for that no longer exists.
whats the point of taxing the high income earners if they are going to deferred their income over number of years of take up share options...
imo should be taxing the ppl who earn alot of money but do jack to earn it, example CEOS....
That is akin to what Nietzsche termed a slave morality. Sycophant to the financier overlords much?
