Looks like TCU is coming to the Big XII:

Peat won't visit Nebraska
AUSTIN, Texas -- Class of 2012 offensive lineman Andrus Peat (Tempe, Ariz./Corona Del Sol) told HornsNation on Thursday that he will not be able to make it Saturday to Nebraska for his official visit because he couldn't book a flight.
This was the only scheduled official visit for one of the nation's top remaining uncommitted players. He promised his head coach, Tom Joseph, that he would wait until after the season to take his official visits, but was able to schedule this one because it was his team's bye week.
Peat couldn't say when he was going to reschedule his official visit to Nebraska. He was set to go watch his brother, Todd Peat Jr., suit up for the Cornhuskers as they hosted Ohio State in their first home game as a member of the Big Ten.
You made my day, chronic. Great news.
I don't think it would be such a good idea. If I did, I'd have to get Designated T and Sisk on the phone because they'd want a piece of the revenue and then they'd potentially leave us to start their own Aggie forum if we couldn't come to an understanding. I don't want to mess up the good, harmonic vibe we've got going here.![]()

I'll add that "not being able to book a flight" is a weird excuse for Peat considering how long he's had this trip planned. The only reason he was going to Lincoln in the first place is because he knew he had a Thursday night game this week and his schedule opened up.
HUGE. Good to see that recruit actually watch games before making decisions. Nebraska getting destroyed by Wisconsin has to be a factor here given the timing. Sounding more and more like a USC, Florida State, Texas battle.
Cayleb Jones will be at the game.
Thanks, Pop. Good to know.
then you're really gonna love that mario edwards will be visiting austin next week for OSU per 247
UT don't even need Mario Edwards. It's insane how stacked this recruiting class is. Got to get Peat though!
Doesn't hurt to get him though. These remaining 5 stars (Peat, Theus, Agholor, Edwards) need to get together and decide to all come to Texas. With the 2011 class proving to be awesome and the 2012 class probably being even better, there is no way we don't win a national championship in the next few years if they come here.

Great news. I'll follow up by saying that Edwards' father spoke with both Mack Brown and Oscar Giles yesterday while setting up the visit. They'll take an official visit to Baton Rouge on October 22nd for LSU/Auburn and then they'll go to Norman on November 5th for Oklahoma/Texas A&M. No word yet on an official visit to Florida State.
Other random notes...
**Add 2013 OL Darius James of Killeen Harker Heights to the visitors list for Texas/OU. Still no word on Texas commitment OL Camrhon Hughes, but those two usually travel together.
**Darrell Wyatt called ATH Corey Coleman this week to check in and invite him to the Cotton Bowl tomorrow morning. He says he's not sure if he'll make it at this time, but I bet he'll go since he's friends with a lot of the UT commitments.
**Bryan Harsin called the head coach at Wichita Falls Rider this week to request film from every game this year on 2013 QB JT Barrett. That's a good indication of how serious the staff is about Barrett, but I imagine they have all of Swoopes' film as well.
**Rumors out there of two Aggie commitments opening up their recruitments. LB Jordan Richmond of Denton Ryan is supposedly setting up official visits to other schools while 2013 WR Jamar Gibson of Baytown Sterling is also talking about looking around.
I think there is reason to be somewhat excited about this recruitment. I do know that i would rather him stay committed and sign with FSU then decomitt and join OU. He could possibly haunt us for years to come.
The fact that OU has a chance with both Edwards and DGB is scary...
Good write-up on Bryan Harsin and his move to Texas:

OrangeBloods just confirmed that QB Connor Brewer is on his way to Dallas and he'll possibly attend a high school game tonight to check out one of his future teammates. Love the dedication.
Floss Brewer be at the Skyline - Dallas Jesuit game. I will also be there to write a piece for Burnt Orange Nation. There could be at least 20 D1 recruits playing in the game.
I'm going to try to get there early to see who's talking to who before the game. I hope Brewer chats up Jesuit's Jake Oliver.
Nice read.
I didn't realize Harsin was only on a one-year deal. Hate to dampen the mood, but do you think it's safe to say he's gone after the year if the offense continues to put up points?
i was thinking the same![]()
Sweet. Keep us posted as that should be a great game.
