Tampa sure has elite pitching. I can't believe people said their starting pitching was anywhere near the level of the Phillies. Tampa had no business even being in the postseason. It took an epic collapse from Boston/Yanks playing backups for them to barley get in. I bet AFBlue will come in here and brag about how impressive it is that Tampa made the playoffs with a small payroll.

No doubt want the Yankees to win tonight....what about game 5...we want Detroit to win? Just hate facing that er Zoolander potentially 2 times...he's nasty. But the Yankee hitters scare me more plus they'd have home field...

If the Brewers and D'Backs weren't playing each other, I'd want them both to lose. F them both. The Brewers completely stole the hand signals the Rangers did during last year's playoff run. That's why the Rangers switched to something different the last couple months. But now, the D'Backs have not only also made those signals theirs...but they have stolen the Rangers' NEW signals and are using them as well. What a bunch of copycat losers.

Grow up...no one compared the Rays staff to the Phillies staff. I thought the Rangers had the edge from the start in this series because the Rays bats are too inconsistent. The first two games went the Rays way offensively, but a rare implosion from a big-game pitcher prevented the second win. The last two games were exactly how I thought the series would go...effective pitching, but not enough offense.

I am glad the Rays made the post-season, and now I'll be happy to root for the Rangers going forward. They definitely have the powerful offense and the back-end of their bullpen is solid...especially with Ogando supplementing.

As long as they, or whoever, beats the Phillies and shuts this up, I'll be happy.

Enjoy it while it lasts. Boston won't be imploding like this every season. Tampa wasn't even all that in September. When my Phillies advance to the ALCS, I am only going to give you more on the way to another world series le. Unlike your sorry ass team, my team has a world series le to win. They don't need someone to have an epic collapse just to squeak in only to get their pushed in the first round.

still not sure who i would rather see, NY or Det

both have deadly bats, an ace, and 3 other average to horrible starting pitchers.

    NY has a hitters park

    Det has a pitchers park

Personally, I think CC is a bit overrated, and is a much easier task to overcome than Verlander. But I also think the thought of seeing Cano scares me more than anyone in Detroits lineup.

Interesting stat though, that the Rangers went 3-6 against Detroit this year, but 4 of those losses were by 1 run. In all those four 1-run losses, the Rangers either didn't have Beltre or Hamilton due to injury.

I want Detroit. Home field advantage, you don't have the mystical Yankees and Yankee Stadium, and with our hitters, we'll crush them in Texas and Detroit.

Tigers will handle the Rangers with ease. Verlander is easily better than CJ. Valverde>>>>>>>>>>>>>Feliz. Tigers Bullpen>>>>>>>>>>>>Rangers bullpen. Tigers starting pitching>>>>>>>>>>>>Rangers starting pitching. Rangers have the edge on offense, but pitching wins in the postseason. Plus, the Tigers bats aren't chop liver. Tigers in 5-6 games.

Thank God you're picking Detroit...didn't you say Philly would sweep the Cards?

This...the only thing he was right about that whole post was Verlander being a lot better than CJ...but after what CJ did to NY last year, who knows. They only get to play one game..maybe 2. Maybe Verlander has an off game or 2...and CJ plays perfect...then what?

Phillies ed around which is why they have to play tomorrow. They will learn from this series after they take game 5. They will still advance and be refocused. I expect Halladay to have a fantastic game. They just need to realize that they can't just go on cruise control.

And that would be your opinion...my opinion is that Carpenter outpitches Halladay and Pujols is going to tear the Phillies a new asshole.

Nah you are scared. You want nothing to do with the Phillies. Go ahead and run your mouth. Your team has proven as much as Tampa. You both had fluke years and made the world series only to have your pushed in.

    at me being scared.
at saying your team will win the ALCS
at every time you're afraid you talk about someone's " being pushed in."
at Pujols about to push Halladay's " " in.
at a Phillies fan talking about what this Rangers team has proven. We won our series in 4...what about you?

    at your lying
at you using a typo as a comeback
at me being scared when those teams did get their pushed in 2 of the last 3 world series.
    at Pujols not doing tomorrow
at a Rangers fan pimping a team that isn't nearly as good as 2010. You beat a ty Tampa team who lucked into the playoffs. My team will be going to the NLCS tomorrow.

    at saying I'm lying
at your dumb ass making the typo
at thinking Pujols isn't going to do tomorrow
at saying this team isn't as good as last year. We lost one good pitcher, got better hitters, and picked up a better bullpen. We're BETTER than 2010. Ask anyone who actually watches this team..they'll tell you.
you bashing my Rangers for beating Tampa in 4 after barely making the playoffs when your Phillies are headed to Game 5 against a Cardinals team who had to get in with an even BIGGER collapse by Atlanta
    hypocrites
