I meant much better than Campbell tbh. I actually don't think he will do anywhere near as well as Campbell would have if he finished out the season. I would love for him to prove me wrong, though.
You can't see him doing better than a QB rating of 17? Really?????

Campbell is a black. He'll never amount to anything.
The reason they gave up 2 picks for this got was to try and win something, anything... right now. They could of gave up and tried to sign a QB next year but they wanted to try and get to the playoffs now. Palmer better produce now, that's why they got him.
what a disaster
thank goodness for a bye week
about the only good note is that DHB is looking like he is really developing into a nice WR finally. but they can't possibly be any worse than they were. Hopefully DMac isnt too badly injured...

just got through watching this
i see exponentially more potential than what Campbell brought. Palmer's day wasn't nearly as bad as his statline showed. the 1st pick was a throw that shouldn't have been made, plus Flowers seemed to sniff it out from the get-go and knew exactly what was coming. Palmer should have known better. the second pick was a little behind Moore, but wasn't entirely Palmers fault either. the third pick looked like Murphy ran his route wrong.
but he did a GREAT job of getting rid the the ball and finding the open man. of course timing was off with his receivers, so he missed them several times, but not by much, but the encouraging thing was to see him make a quick, correct read and get rid of the ball, something Campbell was not great at doing, often holding onto the ball too long, and just resorting to checking down to the HB, instead of finding the weakness in coverage and exploiting it. he also threw with some great accuracy, hitting tight windows several times. he already seems to be gelling well with DHB, which is great. and Murph needs to GTFO, he has worse hands than TO on a bad day.
considering he had less than a week of practice, there is plenty of good to take from this. its not nearly as bad as iron says. they MAY still have a shot at the playoffs, but i think by next season, there is no reason (barring injury), that this team shouldn't be able to make the playoffs.
also, i heard Aaron Curry looked good, but i probably shouldn't ask IM about his thoughts, because unless he forces 4 fumbles and gets 2 INTs, then he probably blows ass as well.
only Stretch could spin that performance, tbh..
hi timmytozo
and i never said he was great, just that i definitely see potential for him to be a solid QB. and that two of the picks werent really his fault, one the WR dropped it and tipped it up into the air like a moron, the other was because Louis Murphy was afraid of the big hit, stopped running, and it went right to the safety, even though Murphy would have been able to make the catch no problem at all.
