Bron may not have had his best series, but much of that was a result of the Mavs being entirely focused on not allow him to get hot. They felt letting Wade get hot was the lesser threat of the two.
there are literally TWO reasons why the 2005 series is even brought up
1. Game 5 going to OT with a last second shot winning it
2. The series went 7 games
aside from those two things, the series blew ass, and more than half of it was not even a contest and not particularly hard fought at all.

Agree with most of this, however I don't think that blowouts mean a series was not hard fought. You are right 2005 is overrated to an extent, but you had two great defensive teams that ran good offensive sets even though outside of Manu, Wallace bros, and Parker most of the key players were not GREAT natural athletes. You had Duncan who could dominate without being even the 3rd best athlete on his own team. Hamilton who succeeded through endurance. I really enjoyed 2005. I get that many people would not find successive blowouts entertaining, I just disagree that those blowouts means that series was not hard fought. All I said was that the 2005 Finals was massively overrated, it was a series of blowouts, with ONE good, hard fought game sandwiched between, and an okay game 7 that was completely marred with a storm of foul calls all over the place, instead of letting the guys play. The series itself was a mound of sloppy, boring basketball that only Piston/Spur fans could truly love to have watched. The 2010 series was the best finals of this decade, and its not even close. But in the next tier down, I would say that this years finals would be next in line, mainly due to the closeness of the games and the storylines involved. But in general, most of the finals this decade were pretty average to completely ty overall.
I also agree last year's series was very good as well.

i think anyone who has a favorite team is a bit of a homer, whether they want to admit it or not. there are people who will flat out pull and root for their team and show their homer side, and others who will purposely be a negative nancy just for the sake of "not looking like a homer" (like sribb and findog), which is even more ridiculous than being a flat out homer.
There is only ONE poster I have really seen here who legitimately seems to remain level headed on nearly any subject, and thats Jamstone. And its not even remotely close. He admits to have a little homer in him, but doesnt go the extreme other way by being excessively negative about his team. You seem to be incredibly focused on what people think about you on here, by constantly claiming that other people are homers and you are realistic. Quit sucking your own , and just be your short, gotty self.
