Stern will cram 86+ games in two months if he can get away with it... and you know he can get away with it
Anything under 65 should have an asterisk, imo. Regardless of the number of games missed, this season probably won't be the afterthought that '99 was--a crapshoot season sandwiched between 2 great dynasties.

Would 51-82 games be not considered as an asterisk season? Would teams try and not half-ass if we have a 51-game season?
Can we get BRHornet to answer this?
I hope this gets done fast. Mavs and their fans deserve to see that championship banner. I hope it looks better than their current banners. Their current banners are ty looking. Too basic and boring.
I would be lying if it said I didn't care to see what kind of obscene jewelry Cubes got for the players... it's going to be twice as fun too since it's going to be right after the owners wereabout how poor they are
Mavs are losing Chandler I guess. Oh well. At least the Lakers get screwed as well.
You sure won't Kobe will have plenty of ESPN/TNT/ABC games if you dont have the League Pass.![]()
To be fair, he is not the one criong but I get your point. I have no sympathy for the owners. If the price gets to high dont pay especially for mid shelf fan favorite types. You pay the superstars (Lebron/Kobe etc) and the young future stars (Blake/Rose) ... but the rank and file (Bonner/Walton) types should get vet min. They were the ones overpaid.
No one made Buss or Holt pay that ...
I think it will be funny if some small market team like the Thunder, Grizzlies, Hawks, or Pacers win the championship in this upcoming asterisk season.
Can you imagine a Thunder-Hawks NBA Finals? Or a Grizzlies-Pacers Finals? Stern would kill himself if either of those Finals happened.
Meanwhile, MJ, being fully aware of this fact, he's somewhere doing this to his computer::

Not when your best big has 50 year old knees!![]()
No son. It is illegal to say a 51+ game season deserves an asterisk. That way, only one "champion" in NBA history will hold that distinction. Forever.![]()
