Some quotes from Overstreet about his gameday experience in Austin:
"I talked to every coach before and after the game," Overstreet said. "They offered yesterday. I talked to Mack Brown. It was cool. Me, my dad and my brother were in (Brown's office). He let us know about the offer. He was straight forward with everything. He didn't try to tell us anything that wasn't true, and we really respected that."
"I liked the environment. It was crazy. The facilities are just really, really nice there. I've been before, but first was my first time really going in depth," Overstreet said. "But I sill want to check out every other school that I have on my go-to list. I don't want to jump on the offer just because. I want to look at some other schools to make sure I'm making the right choice."
"I'm not going to just pick one (make a quick decision) because that wouldn't be fair to other schools. I liked the environment, how close knit everything is. It's like one big family. Everyone there is well taken care of."
He's definitely not the most polished prospect, but I think the staff likes his athletic ability and thinks he's a candidate for another position should UT finally get some stability at the QB position with Ash or Brewer. I know a lot of people think he'd make a great OLB and could eventually beef up to 230 lbs. or so. The only negative thing I can see with this recruitment is Overstreet possibly doubting that he'll get a fair shake at QB with him being one of two in the 2012 class and everyone knowing Brewer is the priority at the position.
