My example compares with that those stories sounded so real at the time, but were later shown they were very unlikely true. These stories are starting to sound real, but what if they aren't?

The law requires benefit of doubt before being judged guilty. Now that doesn't apply to our opinions, but wouldn't we be better people if we tried to live that way?

The fourth woman essentially accuses Cain of unwanted sexual contact. It's the most serious of the allegations so far.

Unwanted sexual contact is misdemeanor-level sexual assault, a much worse charge than sexual harassment, which is usually a civil matter.
