My bad, guys. I keep referring to the JUCO DT as "Demontre" when his name is Brandon. I'm confusing him with the Texas A&M player that got in trouble.
Update on DE Denico Autry...there's a chance he may forgo visiting Texas next weekend in favor of Florida. One of his teammates, DT Damien Jacobs (who's committed to Tennessee), will be making the trip to Gainesville and he's pushing Autry to travel with him. Worth nothing that Autry has been considered a Tennessee lean for some time now and Jacobs could have something to do with that. Hopefully Bo Davis can intervene and convince him to come to Austin with DT Brandon Moore.

Fozzy out for the season. Thank you Mizzou's turf.
Wonder if mizzou lost there own hb as well for the season...Both non contact knee injuries
They did
My heart goes out to Fozzy. He plays with so much joy. It's just cruel that he's had to deal with so many injuries. I will pray for him tonight. God Bless Fozzy.
Indeed. He was increasing his draft stock all year. I hope he gets opportunities in the NFL.
I think Fozzy should take his time coming back. I hope he waits until he's 100% before he even works out for a NFL team. You don't want the injury prone label to follow you into the NFL.

Monday morning notes from Hook 'Em 24/7...
**The nationally ranked, out-of-state prospect that UT is recruiting who has yet to be named is in the process of setting up an official visit to Austin and should have a date set this week. The mystery recruit has said once the visit is set up with the staff, he'll feel comfortable with his name being released to the public. Because we don't currently know who this recruit is, it's also impossible to know who is recruiting him other than UT. However, he said the Longhorns are getting serious consideration.
**OL/DL Arik Armstead's father reiterated this weekend that the family is currently scheduling an official visit to UT after productive talks with Oscar Giles. However, Armstead will not be in Austin this weekend as he's planned a trip to Eugene for Oregon/USC. That leaves banquet weekend in December as the most likely date for his trip to campus. His father went on to say that if he doesn't end up signing with USC (who he was originally committed to), then he'll go with another West Coast school (Cal, Oregon, Washingston) or Texas. Alabama and Notre Dame do not appear to be in the race despite receiving official visits.
**Texas is really picking up their efforts with 2013 OT Ishmael Wilson of Dallas Bishop Dunne and he's apparently emerging as an early offer candidate. Wilson says that he's comfortable putting the Horns in his #2 spot. Unfortunately, being a Louisiana native, he's just waiting on LSU to offer and isn't shy about saying he'll commit to the Tigers if given the chance to do so.
It seems like 2013 is not our DT year. The top DTs in the state have someone else as favorites.
Ashawn Robinson (not sure if spelled correctly) is our main hope and I think that Texas would much rather have him as an OL. Am I wrong??
I sort of agree. Texas trails for Manning and Golden, but it's so early that they could come back. I'm not sure if Ben Hughes has a favorite.
People are kind of down on Robinson after some of his junior film came out. I'd like to see more before I make a conclusion. It could have been a bad couple of games. Robinson looked great in the scrimmages / early junior season reports.
Denico Autry visit up in the air
By William Wilkerson
AUSTIN, Texas -- There seems to be some confusion as to whether heralded junior college defensive end Denico Autry (Scooba, Miss./East Mississippi Community College) will take an official visit to Texas on Nov. 19 or not.
Autry, who holds an offer from Texas, told HornsNation on Sunday that he “thinks he set one up” for this weekend in Austin.
“But I haven’t heard from them so I don’t know my status,” Autry said.
I hope Armstead was watching the Texas Hoops game last night. Exciting basketball from an extremely young team. All UT favoritism aside, Texas offers Armstead the best basketball and football combination. Oregon basketball is progressing, but hasn't been nearly as successful as Texas during the Rick Barnes Era.There will some heavy hitters at Banquet Weekend.
I like Wilson as prospect. For a private school, Bishop Dunne is loaded. If we're talking Dallas 2013 OTs, I'd like to see J.J. Gustafson's name more. I know he has Aggie connections in his family, but he is a uva player. Somebody will get a good one.
Per Hook 'Em 24/7 this afternoon, a source close the East Mississippi CC program has confirmed that DT Brandon Moore will be in Austin this weekend. The same source said that DE Denico Autry has decided to visit Florida instead of making a trip to UT.
Well . Any possibility of Autry making the Banquet Weekend?
Damn. I could really use some good news after the last game.
I haven't seen anything that says he's trying to set up another date to visit. Hopefully the staff will continue to work on this one.
Some quotes from OT Donald Hawkins as he prepares for his official visit to UT:
"I like those three as my top (OSU, UT, Florida), but I have some rebound schools if something doesn't work out - Mississippi State and Arkansas," Hawkins said.
"Coach Searels is a big part of what has Texas up there," Hawkins said. "I feel like he's a good character guy. He seems like a man of his word. Texas is a nice place and he's pretty high on me. Right now, we hit it off. After this visit I should know everything that I wanted to know about Texas."
"I try not to commit off of hype. Right now, I'm thinking everybody a fair chance. Even if I like something (on the visit), I don't want to commit off of hype," Hawkins said.
"Coach Searels cut to the chase. He said they have a right tackle that's a guard and they have a left tackle that's a freshman. But anywhere you go, you'll have to compete," Hawkins said. "I would like to play left tackle, but I'll play whatever to get on the field."
Hawkins has emphasized that he's looking for a school where he can come in and start immediately. UT fits that description because there's no way the staff recruits a JUCO to be a back-up. He'll graduate in December and be eligible for spring practice in 2012. The only potential hiccup seems to be getting him to qualify for enrollment. He'll take an official visit to Florida next weekend and he'll be in Stillwater the weekend after that.

I don't have access to Twitter at work, but sounds like Kevin Durant and Tristan Thompson will be sitting in the student section this afternoon when UT hosts Rhode Island. Pretty cool of them. I don't know about KD, but Thompson is still taking classes at Texas.
I actually heard that TT will be a student assistant coach (or however you call them). Might be sitting at the coaches bench all year if NBA doesn't happen. I heard that on Chip Brown's morning radio show.
really smart to leave school there buddy.
lol Marcus Johnson on that list.
Has he decommited from Tech yet?
