Sorry to hear about the accident and your nice car, Flo. I think it's pretty normal to experience PTSD for quite a while after a wreck. Just get back in there and face your fear! Good luck![]()
i got into a wreck a few years ago due to some running a red light.
im still paranoid of stop lights and slow down a little bit when entering them and look all around about 500 times before going through, just to make sure im not going to get t-boned.

Thanks Maalox. I think I will just drive around a wet parking lot when I get my next car just to get my confidence back. I am cool during normal conditions. Just the rain is what now freaks me out.
So some who was high just rear ended my rental car while I was parked and took off running. I caught him but its like how many accidents can one person get into in a month.I am getting tired of talking to my insurance company.
did you arrest him? would that be considered citizen's arrest?
____________
i hydroplaned in SA a couple of years back taking a left at a stoplight. lucky for me there was a restaurant parking lot i steered into...matter of fact i was thinking about that before i saw this thread. probably because its raining outside.
I am a police officer. I was off duty but I still had my cuffs and badge. I did still call it in for a patrol car to escort him to the closest station. I have been driving since I was 18 and have managed to get into two accidents in a span of one month. Actually it was a month ago to the day.
I thought police officers much like doctors are never really off duty. That they must aid or react even when off duty?
Poor florige. He just can't catch a break.
did you actually chase him down in your rental car? and did he really pull over? or did you shoot out his tires?
it's not an accident if you're a ty driver. by a bike and pedal your ass to work from here on out.
Because the outcomes of getting hit by another car are so much better when you're on a bike.
tires, tires, tires. the most important part of the car.
make sure your tires are good. You don't see racecars switching tires every so laps for no reson.
I thought of you while driving in to town yesterday while it was raining. I hate driving in the rain and had to go to the medical center area which I hate more. So I popped an ativan, and had no mishaps.![]()
can you imagine florige as a bike cop? dude's been on the force too long and got fat, they get all the new guys fresh out of the academy to do that..
A girlfriend in high school had a 69 SS Camaro with a 427 and L60's on the back. I was driving it down I10 in the rain and hit a puddle and the back end came around...wasn't a damn thing I could do but stay off the brakes and countersteer...did a full 360 @ 70mph and came right back into the same lane going forward...I just acted like I did that every day (and probably couldn't do it again if I tried a hundred times without crashing)
No he actually got out on foot and took off running. His car was totaled and not drivable. It actually looked like he had been hitting people off and on all day because no way all that damage that was inflicted on his car was any reflection of the rental car's damage. He was high as a kite so it didn't take me long to run him down.
Yeah thats true. I mean't that I wasn't on the clock.
I bet you got layed super good that night. She probably thought you were a total badass after that.
Of course this bag's insurance was cancelled in September...![]()
