Malcolm Brown's tweet, "Mannnnnn, I'm back on the scene!"
This yr we have learned that if the staff doesn't tell us that injured players will play then they won't play. In other words, they are probably not playing.

Malcolm Brown's tweet, "Mannnnnn, I'm back on the scene!"
**A bit of bad news. Looks like DB Adrian Colbert will not be attending the UT game this weekend because he's sick. He's still scheduled to make his official visit to Austin for banquet weekend on December 9th-10th followed by his official to TCU the next week and Baylor on January 14th-15th.
**ATH Kendall Sanders' recruitment got a bit more interesting since his Facebook post from earlier this week. According to OrangeBloods, a source in Athens had a conversation with Sanders recently and revealed to them that Texas has extended an offer at WR. Sanders and those close to him are denying these claims.
**One more from OrangeBloods...they reported a while back that source close to DE Torshiro Davis had told them that UT was in a better position with this recruitment than most people realize. That same source said this week that "things have changed" after Davis' official to Alabama and UT has "more than a puncher's chance." This report confirms the idea that Davis is not a priority for Alabama making Texas the biggest compe ion for LSU at the moment.
**UT apparently has a nice "in" with OL/DL Arik Armstead. Turns out his father and UT basketball legend, LaSalle Thompson, have been friends for quite some time. Thompson was on campus this week for the Rhode Island game because UT honored him at halftime as the "Legend of the Game." Thompson called Armstead's father the very next day and told him just how serious the UT staff (both football and basketball) was about his son.
**Doesn't look like 2013 DT Isaiah Golden will be in attendance for the K-State game. Transportation is an issue for him but he's said he will be in College Station on Thanksgiving.
**Lastly, an updated attendees list for this weekend's game. Wouldn't be surprised to see some 2012 commitments show up with DGB in town:
WR, Dorial Green-Beckham, Hillcrest (Springfield, MO)
OL, Donald Hawkins, Northwest Mississippi CC
ATH, Daje Johnson, Pflugerville Hendrickson
--------------------------------------------------
DB, Antwuan Davis, Bastrop
ATH, Chevoski Collins, Livingston

UT needs one of of him and Bergeron this weekend. If they could both see limited time and split carries, that would be even better. Doesn't sound like Shipley will play at all.
Anyone else seeing the rumors that Urban Meyer and Ohio State are working on a $35 million deal?
Just saw Malcolm, he wasn't wearing a boot. Idk if it means anything, but that will be 9.95.

OrangeBloods posted this afternoon that more of their sources are coming forward saying that Sanders has been offered as a WR, but they cannot confirm the offer officially. Looks like the offer went down Wednesday evening shortly before Sanders posted on Facebook.
The Asset speaks:

He says that we have a legit shot at DGB but now we might've offered Kendall Sanders. I am so confused. How many WRs are we going for? Looks like 4.
Some stories just write themselves. Pay attention to the last sentence:
Ozen's Michael quiet like his brother, Christine
By Jared Ainsworth [email protected] (409) 880-0723
Published 08:30 p.m., Thursday, November 17, 2011
Practically every night, Andrew Michael arrives home and showers, eats, washes dishes, finishes his homework and is in bed by 9:30 p.m.
"We don't let the late-night light burn over here," his father, Andrew Sr., said.
Andrew, a junior receiver at Ozen, has a quiet, business-like approach to life and football. He tries to pattern his actions after his older brother, Christine, a junior running back at Texas A&M who was the Big XII freshman of the year in 2009 and had rushed for 899 yards and 10 touchdowns this season before tearing an anterior cruciate ligament earlier this month.
"He's influenced me a lot in all areas of my life - school-wise, off the field, on the field," Andrew said. "I want to be just like my brother."
In many ways he already is.
Ozen football coach Jeff Nelson initially met Christine when he was the offensive coordinator at West Brook, where Christine was a star running back from 2006 to 2008.
Nelson remembers a shy, reserved kid who didn't talk much. He had a similar first impression of Andrew.
"They have the same personality," said Nelson, whose Panthers will face Brenham in the second round of the Class 4A Division II playoffs at 7:30 p.m. today at Thorne Stadium in Aldine. "They're kind of standoffish but once they get to know you they're lovable."
"They like to get a feel for you so they'll know how to approach you," Andrew Sr. said. "I would use the word shy when it comes to those guys."
Andrew Sr. currently wears Christine's ring from playing in last year's Cotton Bowl against LSU. Awards and achievements aren't what Christine and Andrew desire, he said.
When Christine attended a football camp at the University of Texas following his sop re year at West Brook, he was given an autographed football for having one of the camp's top showings. But upon returning home he removed the ball from its glass case and kicked it around the yard. The autographs on the 2005 national championship football didn't mean a thing.
"I was like, 'Man, what are you doing?'" Andrew Sr. said. "He was like, 'Daddy, it's just a football.' That's the at ude those guys have. What they do (on the football field) is natural. They don't get the big head."
On the field is where the brothers begin to differ. Christine was a starting running back at West Brook for three seasons and rushed for 1,412 yards and 25 touchdowns his senior year before heading to A&M.
In addition to playing different positions, the 5-foot-11, 215-pound Christine relies on power as much as speed while Andrew, who is a slimmer 5-foot-9, 165 pounds, uses his quickness and ability to make opponents miss in the open field.
"Not many backs come through that are as talented as Christine in the state," Nelson said. "As far as athletically for his position, he was ahead of the curve. Andrew had a breakout game against Nederland but he's still kind of young to the game. He's still got a lot to learn."
Andrew is the Panthers' second-leading receiver with 17 catches for 279 yards and four touchdowns. In that Nederland game, a 44-41 loss on Oct. 28, he had seven receptions for 202 yards and two touchdowns.
He constantly compares his game to Christine's. He wants to improve his speed and explosiveness to that of his brother.
"Christine is exactly where Andrew wants to be," Andrew Sr. said. "I hate to use the term idolized, but he's in his footsteps."
During the summer, the two worked out at A&M. When together, Andrew said they can't stop laughing as Christine constantly chimes in with jokes. They aren't always the quiet kids Nelson first met.
"They know how to have fun," Nelson said.
Where Andrew goes following his days at Ozen isn't certain. He'd love to follow his brother to A&M. But he said Christine has other visions for his future.
"I want to go to A&M," Andrew said. "It would be cool but he wants me to be in a better place than him. Like he wants me to be at LSU or something like that."

**DT Javonte Magee will be visiting College Station unofficially tomorrow for A&M/Kansas.
**Oscar Giles went to see 2013 OL/DL Jake Raulerson play this evening.
thanks for that post. definitely a classic.
Here's the updated attendees list for tonight's game:
RB, Johnathan Gray, Aledo
WR, Dorial Green-Beckham, Hillcrest (Springfield, MO)
WR, Marcus Johnson, League City Clear Springs
WR, Cayleb Jones, S.F. Austin
OL, Donald Hawkins, Northwest Mississippi CC
ATH, Daje Johnson, Pflugerville Hendrickson
-------------------------------------------------
DB, Antwuan Davis, Bastrop
ATH, Chevoski Collins, Livingston
I'm not sure on Jones, but Gray will be attending with his family and stay until Sunday morning. Nice to see these two guys show up to help with DGB. With the news of a possible offer to ATH Kendall Sanders this week, the news on WR Marcus Johnson is very interesting. Either this kid is simply UT crazy or he's getting offered tonight. He has a game in Baytown at 1:00 so he won't be able to leave for Austin until at least 4:00. Rarely do you see recruits make that kind of effort when a long drive is ahead of them. UT isn't going to offer five guys at WR so I'm wondering if Sanders is being looked at for defense. Tough to figure out what the staff is thinking here (especially when you bring in another WR the same night you host the best WR in the nation).
For those of you wondering, DGB has already made it to Austin.
I like seeing the Grays hosting the Beckhams. There is no better family to represent the University. I'd camp out at Manuel's on Congress if you want the best chance to see both.
I love the effort from Marcus Johnson. He isn't f***ing around. An offer wouldn't shock me, and it'd be well deserved.
Daje Johnson is UT crazy. I think he's take based on his SPARQ score alone.
Floss any thinking around the program that Kendall Sanders might he offered as a WR / utility back? I believe he plays both for Athens.
I'd like to see a longer list. In my opinion, Texas' greatest needs are at OT, WR and DE. Two out of three ain't bad. Hopefully Texas can continue the positive momentum with Torshiro Davis.
At DT, I'd wait on attrition and offer Brandon Moore. His coach basically told HornsNation that he's ours if Texas offers. The coach went on to say that Moore wants to play for Bo Davis. Period. End of sentence.
Here's to Johnathan Gray giving Donald Hawkins the you should want to block for me sales pitch.
Tremendous news.
JUCO DT Brandon Moore of East Mississipp CC did show up for the game tonight, per Hook 'Em 24/7. UT is the heavy favorite should they offer.
I dunno if it bodes well for Harsin not being able to cobble something together.
Updated attendees list from last night:
RB, Johnathan Gray, Aledo
WR, Dorial Green-Beckham, Hillcrest (Springfield, MO)
WR, Marcus Johnson, League City Clear Springs
OL, Donald Hawkins, Northwest Mississipp CC
OL, Camrhon Hughes, Killeen Harker Heights
DT, Brandon Moore, East Mississippi CC
DE, Caleb Bluiett, Beaumont West Brook
DB, Leo Thomas, San Antonio Sam Houston
ATH, Orlando Thomas, Copperas Cove
-----------------------------------------------
DB, Antwuan Davis, Bastrop
ATH, Naashon Hughes, Killeen Harker Heights
**WR Cayleb Jones, ATH Daje Johnson and 2013 ATH Chevoski Collins were all scheduled to be in attendance, but I can't find confirmation that they were there last night.
Per Hook 'Em 24/7 this morning, the official visit of WR Dorial Green-Beckham went "very, very well" and "he really likes Texas" despite the abomination that is UT's QB situation. The family is supposedly very impressed and comfortable with everything the university has to offer. I know it's a hard report to believe, but keep in mind the site has connections to Applewhite and Wyatt.
More interesting news...OL Donald Hawkins rated his visit to Texas a "10 out of 10" and admitted that his chances of seeing significant playing time at UT next year is very high. He spent a lot of time with WR Dorial Green-Beckham last night and mentioned the staff stressed to both of them that they would contribute immediately. Both guys are on the same flight out of Austin today so they'll have more time to talk. The craziest thing Hawkins said concerns DT Brandon Moore. See his quote below:
"I don't know if he actually gave them an verbal commitment but he said he was coming here. He said he's going to be here (at Texas) in January."
UT is expecting attrition along the DL (possibly two guys) so Moore would be an excellent pick-up. He wants to play for Bo Davis so hopefully he can make his way into the mix before all is said and done.
They obviously like the versatility he brings and the rumors are he has been offered as a WR, but I'm wondering if they have him pegged as a DB if they're thinking about offering WR Marcus Johnson as well. I'm waiting to see more news on Johnson because I can't decide if he's "Plan B" if DGB doesn't work out or if they're going to take him no matter what. It's difficult to figure out what's going on right now because a handful of guys being recruited can play multiple positions (Coleman, D. Johnson, Sanders) and we don't know what scholarship availability looks like with abnormal attrition on the horizon.
This is strictly hearsay on ATH Kendall Sanders, but it caught my eye:
