if you scroll down his twitter you'll see he is sending messages to Landon Collins (ALLAMERICAN 2) and Arik Armstead asking if they are coming to Texas for a visit. not to mention past messages to DGB.
@ConnorBrewer7
Coach Brown and Harsin just left my house. Leaves no doubt Texas was the right decision.

While we're mentioning twitter and tweets, Landon Collins page sure insinuates that he's a Alabama lean... smh.
With him canceling the banquet visit that pretty much destroys our chance if we had one to begin with. Well.... Adrian Colbert ????
Come on Tfloss, ur awesome. I cant stay off this page, and i know many more feel the same. We try to contribute but most of the time u either beat us or when u post, its our first time hearing it. U are appreciated!I much prefer you guys chiming in. There's times where I feel like I'm talking to myself
Appreciate it. Haven't seen you guys in a while. Welcome back.
**Rumors that QB Dayne Crist will follow his former coach, Charlie Weis, to Kansas.
**Sounds like we can take OL/DL Arik Armstead off of the radar. Unless he decides to visit Austin unofficially, he will not be making it to campus. He's decided to use his remaining two official visits for Cal and Auburn. Safe bet that he stays on the West Coast near his family.
Some quick film on 2013 DB Antwuan Davis of Bastrop and 2013 OL Darius James of Killeen Harker Heights:

Update on five-star ATH Nelson Agholor...now that his team is out of the playoffs, he can start focusing more on recruiting. He hasn't come out and said that UT is off of his list, but his coach mentioned that he wasn't aware of any recent contact from the staff. Agholor will officially visit Florida this weekend and that leaves him with three official visits to go (he officially visited Notre Dame back in October during his high school team's bye week). This one hasn't had a positive vibe for a while now and UT will need some serious luck to get him back to campus. It sounds like interest has dwindled from both parties.
With the addition of WR/ATH Kendall Sanders and possibly DB Colbert, I would assume that Agholor is out of the picture.
On another note, I would not be surprised to start hearing rumors about Major Applewhite to Florida as the OC.
They've already started. Hamilton think that there isn't anything to them. I would hope Muschamp learned his lesson this season, and hires an established OC with experience in the SEC. No I don't consider Major an established OC.
major is a household name to UT fans. most of the kids who are being recruited watched this guy play good football for texas. it would be a shame to lose him.
Tfloss - you are much appreciated. I've been lurking and following this thread for a while--the information you provide is amazing. In fact, I find myself coming to the site to check on this more than Spurs info. Although I did not attend UT I married an alum and thus have been thrust into the UT scene inheriting the season tickets my wife had. Her friends now come to me for anything UT Football related.
As 3rdCoast said, we're just not on your level.
Keep it up!![]()
Vaccaro has pretty much confirmed that he is leaving. Normally he could change his mind, but not with his cir stances.
From his twitter
"To declare or not to declare? That is the question!! "
"Feel like its time to get up outta here. Son on the way. Mom is getting tired."
An Adrian Colbert commitment would be nice.
Do you guys actually think Major would leave his own prestigious alma mater for another school that is offering him the same position that he is co-running now? I would hate for that to happen especially since he's a legend and beast in recruiting based partially off the legend aspect of it in itself.![]()
sad to hear although expected. as highly regarded as agholor is, i think he is underrated and is one of the most explosive players in the country. a can't miss prospect.

Mario Edwards not totally sold on Florida State
"Edwards says he still has LSU and Oklahoma under consideration and is also taking a recruiting trip to Texas this weekend. After traveling to Austin, Edwards will take trips to LSU and Oklahoma and said he may even travel west to check out USC."
Wow fellas, Mack made some interesting comments at the Banquet last night and nothing on this thread. Step it up.
What did he say?

Talk about it in Inside the 40 Acres
There has been a ton of speculation lately about if Texas would add another quarterback to the class of 2012 - maybe even a junior college or graduate transfer.
On Friday night at Texas' annual football banquet, I asked Mack what the prospects were for adding a quarterback to incoming freshmen Connor Brewer and Jalen Overstreet as well as returners David Ash and Case McCoy.
"I don't know. We're looking at it right now because our quarterbacks are still young," Mack Brown said. "It's funny. Right after the Baylor game, everyone scattered.
"Everyone goes recruiting. We didn't have our first staff meeting until this morning.
"Today, we were just talking about the possibilities of what would be out there or what we'd look at. Or do we just continue in the light we're in now? We'll have another staff meeting Sunday and pull together some more thoughts than we have right now."
I followed up by asking if Mack would be inclined to take a junior college quarterback or graduate tansfer (like a Dayne Crist, who will apparently visit Kansas now that Charlie Weis is the coach).
"I don't know," Brown said. "I think those are things we're looking at. We've taken two junior college players in our first 13 years.
"And obviously we are looking at some now. That's kind of a new road for us to look on. We are not going to become a junior college program. It's to fit a need. If you find the right guy and find the right student, that's something we'll have to look at Sunday."
Don't let the Chip Brown byline throw you off. Mack said it, it's a direct quote also reported on other sites.
Connor Brewer just sent out a tweet he was hanging out at Macks house with Cayleb Jones, Kendall Sanders, and Mario edwards I assume.
I think its the new commit Marcus Johnson, not Mario Edwards. We arent that lucky. There's still alot of talent at that house.
Naww I think its Mario, word is we could be new favorite for him. He must be enjoying himself this weekend.
This is the link to the awards given out at the banquet last night. Unfortunately I dont know any recruiting news involved with the banquet.
