errr... I see that.
Legendary high school coach, Todd Dodge, is returning to Texas. He's accepted the job at 4A Marble Falls where his son will join him on the staff.
OU boards reporting QB Landry Jones will return for his senior year.
Got this off the recruitocosm message baord, pretty interesting.
Very interesting quotes from DG-B while he’s in San Antonio re: our QB situation and how it will affect his decision (Ced Golden column in the Statesman):
Q: “What assurances have the Texas coaches given you that this quarterback thing will be fixed, if you sign?”
“We’ve talked about it a whole lot,” Green-Beckham said. “They have (Arizona QB Connor Brewer) coming in next season, and I’m going to look him up on the Web and see what he’s good at to see if I would be able to go to Texas.”
If thats the case tonights game is huge. Hopefully Brewer plays great.
Who is visiting Texas??? The DB from Florida??

Yeah it's Marcell Harris.
So much for that
Nuh, Bo Wallace (if we get him) will be huge for DGB's recruitment.
Chill he's not enrolling early
I'll never chill about knee injuries, pray its not an acl
He hurt his ankle, not knee. Should be fine.
His father told OrangeBloods tonight that it's just a minor injury. Nothing to get worked up about. Scary moment nontheless.
The Landon Collins decision was interesting to say the least.
I watched the first half of the game;
-MB2 is a beast
-TJ is good, we can't afford to lose him
-Jones didn't do anything, but I heard he finally got some catches in the second half
-Brewer, Riser, and Estelle absolutely have to redshirt. Estelle and Riser were getting beat bad by their DLine (though to be fair they had guys like Mario) and Brewer was not good. That INT he threw was Gilbert-esqe, but I'll give him some slack since he got a concussion on the previous drive.
-Didn't really pay attention to the other players, but Echols apparently did well also.
Why is Landon Collins not in discussion for best player in country? If you saw the Opening, UA Practices, the UA game, he would be my top player. He is freakish athlete with track speed, can shut down WR at the line, has great coverage skills, hits like a linebacker. Rare talent and most college ready player out there.
That Noah Spence dude was a freak too. Wow. Along with DGB they would be my top 3 overall.
As far as Texas players, MB2 looked even better than I expected. What a monster. That dude will get on field right away. Other Texas commits (aside from Gray) looked a bit overwhelmed by speed at UA game.
Classic. For anyone that didn't see it, mama wasn't happy.

Here's a new out-of-state name to keep an eye on for 2013, DE Greg Gilmore. He's in San Antonio this week for the Army Combine and he mentioned UT as his dream school and the scholarship offer he's waiting on. However, he mentioned last month that USC was also his dream school and his father happens to live in California.

"I grew up loving Southern Cal," said Gilmore. "I've got their hat and coats and all that. They have a young team and once they get off probation I think they can go in the right direction. My dad lives in California and I'll be out training with him so hopefully while I'm there I can go visit USC."
