Well with Johnson gone, I'm sure mike Davis has one foot out the door.
Mack probably pulled it. Baylor's DB Dixon probably knows a little bit about how this works.

why do i keep hearing that??? I mean, what does one thing have to do with the other?? Not trolling, just wondering.
Sucky news to come home to this evening. This is my take on the whole thing as well. I think both sides grew tired of each other. The staff kept telling him he couldn't take visits, Johnson wouldn't back down and was possibly dishonest about his intentions a time or two and the offer was likely pulled. Like Pop said, he wouldn't be ruling out Texas completely if things ended on a good note. Sounds like the staff just wanted to wash their hands of his recruitment and decided to be finished with the back and forth. I expect ATH Corey Coleman and/or ATH Daje Johnson to get calls soon.
A couple of sites had interviews with DT Quincy Russell today as he was at the Alamodome watching all of the underclassmen participate in the Army Combine. I assume he's still in town on Christmas break from Trinity Valley CC. He mentioned to a couple of reporters that school is going well and he's on track to getting enough credits to transfer to a D1 school by December of 2012. He says he is still in consistent contact with UT and hopes to enroll in the spring semester of 2013.
Well, more bad news. QB Bo Wallace is not visiting Texas this weekend. Sounds like things were called off because UT wants to move forward with the QBs they have in place. I don't really understand the move at all because UT needs depth, but there are some rumors out there that McCoy decided against transferring in the past day or two. Sucks how quickly positive developments can change.
The funny thing is if TJ had waited until June, he would have gotten all the free Nike he ever wanted at UT. Now he'll get it this month. Enjoy those custom J's at Oregon TJ. If he had waited until the fall, he would be traveling all over the country with the Texas football team. Instant gratification.
I've liked Corey Coleman's game for awhile. I don't like it so much if we had to lose TJ to get it. Coleman is more versatile, but TJ is a better player. Texas won't replace TJ, they'll find somebody to take his spot, but they won't replace him.
This could hurt with Samples. TJ and Samples could end up at the same school. Samples is a baller. He outplayed TJ this year, and in the 2 Skyline games I saw in person.
I think Oliver or bust in 2012 just became Oliver or bust and another WR. FWIW, Marcell Ateman is kicking ass at the Army Combine.
What's the word on Peter Jinkins?
Also some rumors that the Brewer camp may have voiced their concerns recently and that could be the bigger issue. We'll see what comes out in the next few days.
Jinkens said tonight that he's cool with Johnson's decision but he's solid to Texas. He mentioned wanting to take some visits but wasn't willing to risk it if his scholarship offered would be pulled.
And.Here.We.Go. I hear helicopters.
There's no telling what truly happened. I'm just going through scenarios in my head wondering how Mack can be satisfied with Ash and McCoy as his #1 and #2 and turn down other QBs just sitting there waiting for an offer. Yet he wants to tell stud recruits and their families he's serious about winning. UT needs another guy with experience even if it all it does is help depth. I'm seriously confused unless there's another QB option available.
I'll say this, the next Inside the Humidor should be the most interesting to date. Everybody wants an explanation on TJ and Wallace.
Sucks to hear about Wallace. He has exciting potential and I was looking forward to seeing what he could do with real weapons around him.
That wouldn't surprise me.
I have no idea WTF Mack is doing? Nothing is making sense
im surprised no one has mentioned the nick saban rumors.....i heard something about them on the chris and jason show yesterday.......but i missed most of it.
of the bad news that has come out recently, this is the worst. damn.
i'm going to have to disagree. the all-star game is the best indicator of what to expect b/c it is the first game you see guys play against college level talent with the speed dialed up.
who looked most impressive in all-star games last year from Texas? Diggs and Shipley. this year was Malcom Brown (and I assure you that dude is getting on field immediately because he may have been best player on field).
who sucked in all-star game? Gilbert. while Barkley tore it up.
services watch film of most players that are highlight reels versus inferior talent that is various levels. that is just not as good as seeing them compete head to head.
Article below on TJ and also quotes from Jinkens on his teammate decommiting.

If it came down to bringing in Wallace or not I would have said Brewer and his parents. The potential upside of Wallace>>>keeping Brewer tbh.
co-sign.
we need a winner at the QB position, NOW. too many great players on this team to keep settling for mediocrity at the position.
Agree. Nothing against Brewer, but Texas should've done what was best for the program, which IMO was to go full court after Wallace.
