Im so pumped about 2012 after Jesus report with the Asset.
And with that, Barrett just became Baylor's top quarterback prospect.
QB Connor Brewer signed his LOI yesterday and is officially a Longhorn. He should arrive in Austin this weekend along with the other early enrollees.

Mike Jinks of Cibolo Steele will be applying for the Converse Judson job. Might be what Judson needs to get that program back to where it used to be:

DT Donald Hopkins has decommitted from Mizzou.

It could definitely go that way if Swoopes is UT's #1 priority.
Good for Jinks, but I don't understand why the Judson job is any better than the Steele position. I guess Converse has more tradition, but I hate it when coaches leave to go coach a rival.
I know Tech has been on Barrett for awhile now. OU has also expressed interest. Baylor will have a battle on their hands. It'll be interesting to see if the Bears can reap the recruiting benefits from RGIII's Heisman.
Jinks is Judson alumni and even won a state championship as there starting qb. I think its a lateral move as far as quality of football program but I cannot blame a coach wanting to go back to there home (dream) program...
Very understandable then. I hope he gets it.
Good news about Jinks if he goes to Judson. I'm an alumni and I think this would be great for the school. They've been running that same offense for years. Jinks' system combined with Judson's athletes will make for a exciting team.
As an alumni of Judson as well, I'm all for the Jinks hire.
Also, it's a shame Barrett doesn't get an invite to Junior Day. It's a really tough call in the whole Swoopes-Barrett debate, but I've always slightly leaned on the Barrett side.
Two J-Rock alums on the board? Love Coach Rackley but Jinks could provide a nice spark. I don't have to worry about them anymore since they've moved out of 26-5A.
Texas A&M has offered 2013 QB Kenny Hill of Southlake Carroll.

I wish Baylor would. He's probably my #3 behind Barrett and Swoopes. Not the biggest guy ever, but he's a baller and a terrific leader.
Is that on Barking Carnival?
I can't find the latest article.
TFloss32 linked it here:
It's on the Inside Texas free forums (Inside The Humidor).
Rivals might be adding a fifth star to Malcom Brown:
@rivalsmike
Back at it, working on the DL now
@rivalsmike
We have another five star, could be another very shortly
And my one prediction is that Cayleb Jones goes back to 4 stars.
Per Hook 'Em 24/7, 2013 OL Darius James of Killeen Harker Heights has confirmed that he has a Junior Day invite and will be in Austin next month. The only thing is he's not sure if he'll attend the first or second Junior Day (his invitation is for the first one). It's possible he wants to wait until JD2 so he can watch the team and his good friend, OL Camrhon Hughes, go through spring drills. So, here's the updated list:
QB, Tyrone Swoopes, Whitewright
WR, Jake Oliver, Dallas Jesuit
OL, Darius James, Killeen Harker Heights
OL, Kent Perkins, Richardson Lake Highlands
OL/DL, Jake Raulerson, Celina
ATH, Ricky Seals-Jones, Sealy
Brown is a monster and definitely deserves it. That DL rotation next year is going to be nasty.
Just wait til he kicks our ass in 2012 or 2013.![]()
Just wait til our defense kicks his... ;-)
