I'm snapping my fingers right now, but that big, who is a plus defender and can average 30 min. a game, hasn't appeared yet.
posting rainbow pictures is gay.

Lol, assets.
Spurs just need to play .500 ball until their best player is back on the court. That's all you can ask of any team really.
This is team is out-and-out horrible on the defensive interior. Manu's return will not change that. If they're not careful, they'll end up a fringe playoff team and on the verge of the Draft Lottery. Hey, that wouldn't be a bad thing!
Actually, it would... if you're hitting the lottery, might as well shoot for a high pick
The best option at this point is Splitter.
You are right we faced the same problem with the Lakers. But how can you blame Pop for focusing on rings?! You prefer like the Mavs you break up a championship core? Sure the Spurs havent won in 4 years but you can't blame the guy for trying to re-load instead of rebuilding. Duncan, Pop and Manu are running out of time why would they want to "rebuild"?
TD does have bad knees, but as long as we have a healthy Manu there is always a chance.
Plus if Pop will play Thomas IMHO he will turn out to be a pleasant surprise and a good signing.
Manu is not going to change the defensive short comings of this team.
No, but his heart and will to win will translate into a few victories. The man does not know how to lose.
I don't advocate blowing up this team as so many do. Rather, a few defensive tweaks here and there is all they need. I hope JA eventually comes around.
I still don't see this team making it into the playoffs this year and honestly I hope they get in the lottery rather than another first round exit, the worse their record the better their chances next year due to a higher lottery position and chance for another really good big.
pop shouldve been let go last year....
Tim can't anchor the middle anymore, there's no Bruce Bowen on the perimeter, and Pop is a one trick pony.
The Spurs were considered "boring" was because everybody knew exactly what was coming, but the Spurs could simply out-execute everyone else and grind them down. They didn't gamble on defense, because they didn't have to. They didn't fight for offensive boards, because they didn't have to - they just got back on defense. On offense, they kept jamming 4-down because they could.
The Spurs don't have the personnel to keep doing those things. And they aren't going to get the personnel unless they blow it up (at least one of the Big 3, maybe two). What does that leave?
The Bucks have often been a thorn in the Spurs side even during the best stretch of the mid last decade for the Spurs - yes Spurs have to improve but their current best player is sidelined and they after 10 games they are still in ok shape - too soon to make conclusions on this season.
Not counting trolls, you might be the dumbest poster out of all the regulars. No knowledge, no reading comprehension, just unabashed front office apologizing.
I didn't mean it was "just that simple" to acquire that type of big, I mean if they want to be a good defensive team again, that's what they need. Not Pop pretending to care about it this season more than last (like every other season) and not stocking the second unit and back end of the roster with good or intriguing defenders.
Blair, Anderson and a 1st (particularly in this draft), are all quality assets. On their own, they wouldn't net them the type of big they need. But together, they would.
Quality assets? Are you that much of a dumbass to think below average prospects like Blair and Anderson and a 1st rounder are going to fetch a quality big, that every team in the league covets? Tell me your not that idiotic?
They're not below average prospects, re . Particularly Blair. His career PER is 17.6 and this season he's at 19.9. The league average is 15. He's one of the best bang for the buck players in the league. The Spurs just have him miscast as a starter. Anderson is about average, but 6-6 (supposed) shooters/scorers at SG, are not in abundance nowadays. And a 1st, in this draft, even if it is high teens - low twenties, is solid value. That's three quality assets, that together should be able to net them the type of power forward they need.
You clearly only follow the Spurs and not the rest of the league. It's easy to nitpick players when you watch them on a game to game basis, but you've got to keep perspective and be able to see the forest from the trees.
IMO this all depends on Pop's next move
If he wants one more project then you need to deal these guys now and commit the next 5 years to Pop. If Pop isn't interested in making such a commitment then
Spurs should just finish off Duncan & Manu. Tim is on his last foot (2-3 years tops) and Ginobili is already 34 years old. They leave along with Pop and the next coach starts from scratch. Basically the Charlotte Bobcats
NBA = ALL or nothing. You want to be a contender or lottery pick team. So Spurs should keep all or deal all.
Double down.
The future is now.
Don't worry, there'll be plenty of time to suck.
Bigs are more in demand.
You clearly overvalue the Spur's trade assets. You might be able to get a solid vet,, but your insane if you think some team is goning to give a prime big for Blair, Anderson, and a 1st.
Umm, in a word, no.
Prime big? I'm talking about someone the caliber of Gibson (no chance), Arthur (out for the season), Davis, etc. That's attainable.
I'd respect threads like these more if they were started after a good win.
