QB Tyler Wilson of Arkansas is also still considering the NFL draft
I don't think DGB makes his decision because of a QB, but it could be positive for UT. I keep waiting for Wilson to say he's staying in school, but he still hasn't made a decision with three days to go until the deadline. Things look wide open at the QB position after Luck and Griffin go off the board in the early first round because Barkley and Jones returned to school and Tannehill has a foot injury that's caused his stock to drop. Wilson may take his chances.
My bad, shyne.
Ya I think with tanehill hurt, he would be third qb taken. Does Arkansas have any stud qbs behind him. I thought the qb situation was big for DGB? I mean if it's only about distance he would probably go to mizzou
I'll rephrase. QB is important. I just don't think it's the main thing he'll base his decision on. Arkansas is actually a bit closer than Mizzou.
Bingo. Texas isn't a finalist for DGB if QB play was the primary factor or even a major factor.
For the record I have never been a full time enrolled student at UT. In 18 hours I have a 4.0 though. I currently attend the smallest D1 school that fields a football team. So... I root for Texas because we get steamrolled. I am from Texas as well.
Count me as a t-shirt fan, I give zero s.
A few weeks ago it looked like he would be #6 taken -behind Luck, Barkley, RGIII, Jones and Tannehill. Now he could go up to #3. I think it is much more likely he goes to NFL than many think. He does look like he needs another year in college though.
I think hes a stud, im probably the only one but I would have taken him before Tannehill regardless.
DGB officially eliminated Alabama today:

Some injury updates...
**DE Jackson Jeffcoat will undergo surgery on Monday for the torn pectoral muscle injury he sustained on Thanksgiving night against A&M. He's expected to miss spring drills but will be ready for summer workouts.
**Both DB Adrian Phillips and DT Greg Daniels had shoulder surgery yesterday and both were considered successful. They will also miss spring practice.
**OL Luke Poehlmann had arthroscopic knee surgery recently and he's expected to be available for spring.
Jeffcoat plays with a torn pec, and Mario Williams is out for the year wtf
WHOOP WHOOP Judson Rockets
make that 3 alums......I want Jinks and I want him now.
I am hoping that Soto is a no go for HC. My bro, who played for Coach Arnold, and had Rackley as his position coach, was telling me today that if Soto becomes HC, he will not be renewing his season tickets. I won't either. Which would suck, cause we have been season ticket holders for the last 3-4 years.
The Big Cigar brought it STRONG tonight.
Per Hook Em 247, Isiah Golden will be at Junior Day. Add him to the list.
What he say?
It's free on Inside Texas. Inside the Humidor forum. He basically said Texas fans should be more excited about landing DGB AND Mario Edwards.
O ok yeah I read that earlier during lunch, some good stuff there. I'm more optimistic about DGB than Edwards after reading that.
Sorry Judson Alums
Jinks not applying for Judson HC...

I say this as a fan of Mario, two words: Contract Year.
Great news. I wouldn't be surprised to see Manning and Golden walk away with offers and Taylor is told he'll be evaluated. If Taylor receives an LSU offer before he even makes it to Austin, it may not matter anyway.
Updated Junior Day List:
QB, Tyrone Swoopes, Whitewright
WR, Jake Oliver, Dallas Jesuit
OL, Darius James, Killeen Harker Heights
OL, Kent Perkins, Richardson Lake Highlands
OL, Ishmael Wilson, Dallas Bishop Dunne
OL/DL, Jake Raulerson, Celina <------------ **also visiting Jan. 27th-28th
OL/DL, A'Shawn Robinson, FW Arlington Heights
DT, Isaiah Golden, Elysian Fields
DT, Justin Manning, Dallas Kimball
DT, Vincent Taylor, San Antonio Madison
S, Marcell Harris, South Lake (Groveland, FL)
S, Kameron Miles, West Mesquite
ATH, Ricky Seals-Jones, Sealy
RE: Vincent Taylor, I agree. I think Manning and Golden will look much better at the Junior Day. The coaches see it for themselves and offer both. I hope they really massage the message to kids that aren't offered at Junior Days. Any way the coaches put it, kids are going to be disappointed and in some cases pissed. Tricky business this recruiting.
I like the early list. I think it meets Texas' needs and in some cases exceeds our expectations as fans. No reaches, all kids that are elite at their positions and really like Texas. I think the coaches did more ground work for the 2013 class than what was reported. You don't put a list like that together without some hard work.
I really like how Manning's recruitment is trending. Texas wasn't even in it last summer.
I think they all make it down with possible exceptions of Harris and James. I'm not sure why James is planning on attending the Second Junior Day.
Good thing he hasn't ruled out that first Junior Day, but I also wonder why James would wait. He has mentioned wanting to see OL Camrhon Hughes and the team go through spring drills and he'll be able to if he attends the second Junior Day. I really don't care either way as long as he gets offered, but it would be nice for him to be around the other big names.
