"Jesse Blanchard did a good job of explaining this during the faithful Daily Dime chat when he stated: “Kobe Bryant has been known to shut down his opponent whereas Tim Duncan was known to shut down entire offenses by himself”. Indeed, Duncan’s productivity as well as his efficiency have made the Spurs team a championship contender throughout his tenure in San Antonio while the same cannot be said about Bryant."

"There really isn’t any diplomatic way to this: Tim Duncan’s playoff performances essentially run circles over Kobe Bryant’s."

"Not only has Tim Duncan been better than Kobe Bryant during his entire career, one can only wonder: were we wrong in selecting Kobe Bryant as the player of the decade? It would sure seem as such."
If you can produce anywhere near similar opinions of Duncan from his peers then we can have an adult conversation...otherwise stay out of the room...

Pretty easy really. Kobefan posts the same hyperbolic comments again and again, which are easily disputed by an objective investigation of the facts.

I can find plenty of ridiculous comments made by players, GMs, and coaches.

Tim definitely deserves to be in the convo for GOAT PF, I would probably vote for him as well. But he is not as good as Hakeem or Kobe ...

Kobe is the better individual talent, thats about it tbh. As far as better basketball player?Only a re /Kobe fanboy would choose to build their team around Kobe instead of Duncan. The post-Shaq pre-Gasol era and this year should be enough evidence to show how bad Kome is at making teammates better. What Dream did in 95' and Timmy D did in 03' carrying teams on their backs, is something Kome was never able to do.

Killakobe81 : There is absolutely NO WAY Kobe is better player than Tim overall. NEVER, EVER. However, Kobe is better than Tim in decline, no arguments on that one, but PRIME and overall, no way.

The way Kobe is playing right now proves how much of a pathetic me first player he is. I've tried watching some Lakers games this season, but it is so hard to watch him play because he is out for his own, and that is the only way he wants to win, with himself being in the spotlight. That's not basketball.

Tim Duncan's favorite player is Magic Johnson, that should actually tell you something, yet you guys don't want to see it. Basketball is a team game. Kobe doesn't give a about anyone but himself.

If only Lebron we're a little bit better in the 4th quarter, then we wouldn't have to keep hearing about Kobe anymore .

Hakeem Olajuwon was also a me first player at one time, and he even said he was, but he did figure it out and became a team player. When he did become a team player he played at levels not many players can even dream of. Levels not even Kobe has been to, and if Kobe ever figured that out he might have been able to be a truly transcendent player.
