Should be an excellent run stuffer. I don't know how good he will be in coverage, seems like he might be a liability against some of the pass heavy offenses. But, against the likes of KSU he will be a beast attacking the line of scrimmage.
I hope the coaches don't slow play the recruitment of Antwuan Davis to much. He's a top prospect nationally at CB. He has good size and speed. Injuries are the nature of football, it happens to everyone. He should be fine.

DrRich?
Now that's a name I've not heard in a long time. A long time.
DajeJohnson daje'
STAYING WITH TCU
No details yet what brought this on.
Daje Johnson says he's staying with tcu per his twitter.
Per Hook 'Em 24/7, Manny Diaz is scheduled to drop by Kennedale HS this week to check on 2013 LB Brett Wade. Hope a Junior Day invite is the result.
It's still unclear what made Daje decide to stay put before visiting UT, but he told Hook 'Em 24/7 that he is indeed ending his recruitment and will sign with TCU next week.
Daniel brooks deciding to stick with sooners also.
I wish we would have made a move for Corey Coleman, but I guess he is pretty solid to Baylor.
Too bad about Daje.
As strong as our staff has been with recruiting this year, they are starting their recruitment of some players way too late. Most kids will stick with the school they have been committed to for months. A few months ago, Daje Johnson would have been committed to Texas, that TE that is committed to FSU would have actually taken his visit here and who knows, maybe he would be coming here as well.
Yeah, it's been a while! Glad to be back!!
Quotes from ATH Daje Johnson on deciding to stick with TCU. Texas just waited way too long to make a move:
"The more I thought I just didn't ever understand why they couldn't at least touch base with me every now and then to let me know what was going on," Johnson said. "I felt like they could have at least let me know something."
"He (Harsin) took it alright," Johnson said. "He wanted to know why I didn't want to visit. I didn't want to get into details, but he really wanted to know why and I basically told him what I really felt. He seemed okay with what I told him."
"I don't hold grudges," Johnson said. "In the end it was more about what I felt for TCU. I'm ready to get to Fort Worth and get the season started. I'm ready to go compete in the Big 12."
I don't think the late recruitment is a result of them procrastinating but more so about them feeling like some guys that they made a priority before the later recruited guys not panning out. So now they're fishing around for some quality talent to fill those spots. Because we missed out on Mario, Torshiro, Landon an whoever else it has opened the door for these new recruits.
I hope were not to late on Dalton Santos. I think Daje's pride got in the way of him switching to Texas but it's his decision. Hope Dalton doesn't feel like Daje.
Major will visit Daje to change his mind.
Really? I love the new at ude and approach of the coaches in recruiting this year. A little stroking of his Ego will help deflate his pride. But we'll see.
Well I don't like how Major is having to get involved in this recruitment. Harsin should have done a better job keeping in contact with Daje so that he wouldn't have had his feelings hurt. Poor job by Harsin on this one.
Johnson said that he feels Texas is, "in my heart," and after talking with his father and godfather tonight, he feels like he has to take the visit to Texas. He also said he holds a degree from Texas in high regard and that he's looking at which school can best benefit him after football is over.
The more I read about this kid, the more I want him on the 40 acres. I give him all the credit in the world for his decision. I understand his take on sticking with TCU after they stood by him from Day 1 and Texas has mixed in and out after other prospects ruled them out. I agree that Texas and Harsin screwed this one up and even if Daje stays with TCU, I have to admit I wouldn't blame him one bit for doing so. As stated, credit Applewhite for going to him and trying to talk him into flipping. Kid is going to be a stud and I love his at ude during all of this. Dream school or not, the truth is, Texas didn't do their part and I felt another since of en lement coming out of Texas on this one with them feeling as if, " we are his dream school, and we can flip him at any time." Hate that it happened to such a good kid. Hope we can seal the deal...we shall see!
Mario Edwards tweet's that he's sticking with FSU. It stings for the top recruit in the nation to leave the state of Texas, especially for a already talent rich state. Maybe if we're able to pull Marcel Harris I'll feel better.
True... I feel like Harsin's lack of contact, communication, and direction is what caused Thomas Johnson to decommit. He did come from Boise to talent rich Texas so maybe he's getting used to having so many kids to evaluate and keep up with. IdK..
Great news to wake up to this morning. What a crazy past couple of weeks UT has had with Wallace, Kourtzidis, Santos and now Daje. Hope it works out.
I feel u on this, but like I mentioned before, I think he was only slow played like this because there were other prospects rated higher and therefore were a higher priority at the time. He's really a plan B guy but a damn good one. In the perfect recruiting world kids understand the business side of things and feelings and pride don't come into play. But athletes young, old, professional, and amateur can have their feelings hurt. Ex being Lamar Odom this year. Just hearing that he was talked about in a trade rumors left him feeling unwanted and he ultimately asked to be traded as a result of that.
Hook 'Em 24/7 definitely likes their mystery recruits. There's another name on the radar as of this morning and he's "out of left field." No details given other than that. Should have more info later on in the day.
