If it's Magee, Taiwan Johnson or Danielle Hunter, I will do the Ickey Shuffle.
If it's Corey Coleman, I will do the Electric Slide. I'm talking about Ernest Givens y'all.
Infamous "Mystery Recruit"! I would try to guess but I'm always off. But I'll just say who I wouldn't mind it being. Javonte Magee.
If it's Magee, Taiwan Johnson or Danielle Hunter, I will do the Ickey Shuffle.

I'll follow u up with the stanky leg and D-Town boogie.

Is the daje visit back on? Class of '09 and a 1st time poster
Daje visit is back on. The young man sounds conflicted, but he's said a few times now that his heart is with Texas.
Per OB, Mack Brown will make his in home visit with DGB tomorrow. Coach Wyatt will also be with him.
I hope Mack gets a chance to do the school tour also. Mack DESTROYS the school visits. From the principal to a freshman hanging on a locker hook, everybody gets a hand shake and an autograph.
Seen you lurking, bluetrumpet. Welcome.
I'm not quite sure who's visiting him on Thursday in Pflugerville, but it will be Applewhite and/or Harsin. Glad things were smoothed over by Applewhite. Hopefully it's a learning experience for all. Gary Patterson is supposed to do his in-home visit with Daje on Wednesday.
I'm confident Mack will stop by Hillcrest HS. He and Wyatt have to absolutely kill it tomorrow as it's their last chance. I hope the rumors of the Beckhams not being too high on Bobby Petrino off the field are true. Bob Stoops was in Springfield yesterday but the overwhelming feeling continues to be OU has been pretty much out of it for a while.
DE Taiwan Johnson- Does he really want to play in Fayetteville?
DE Danielle Hunter- Could he be looking elsewhere now that Torshiro is solid?
DE Bryce Cottrell- True definition of "out of left field."
Weekend at Bernie's was one of my favorite movies growing up. Tell me y'all have seen this one.

Taiwan Johnson is interesting. He tore up the playoffs, that alone would put him on the Texas coaches' radar.
Stealing Danielle Hunter from LSU would be nice payback for Rasco and Torshiro Davis.
If it's Bryce Cottrell, I'm going to be pissed I didn't make a Plano West game. Mike Mitc and Bryce Cottrell and they didn't make the playoffs. That's a strong district.
There's some noise on Orangebloods that Bryce Cottrell is telling people he was offered this morning by Texas. I can't speak to the validity, but Ketchum personally responded to the first post and said he was making calls about it.
Yeah.. Funny dance. I've seen a saints player do the dance as a touchdown celebration this year. Lol

Add Brett Wade to Second Junior Day list. It might be time to start a list for JD2.
Hey.. What's the scoop on Polo Manukainiu? Didn't he decommit recently, he's obviously looking around.

No idea if Cottrell is the mystery guy 24/7 is referencing, but the staff has made contact with him recently. It's uncertain how far along this one is and he's been committed to Oregon for a while.

Big Cigar on Inside Texas:
"So I talked to the Big Cigar this morning about a sundry of Texas football items. There was a little recruiting, some team news, and a splash of off-the –field rumblings that should get the conversation flowing. So without further adieu step in for a smoke.
Jesus Shuttlesworth: So first things first, talk to me about Mario Edwards, Jr. What happened?
Big Cigar: Exactly what I told you this time last week.
(Editor's note: Here's what he said: "The real news is that he's been hesitant to schedule the in-home visit with Texas which is not a good sign. I know that our staff is working hard to make that happen but until it gets scheduled I don't like our chances, and I don't think our coaches like them either.")
Big Cigar: I think he genuinely liked us and was blown away by the visit but FSU was too much to overcome and we were eventually out of sight and out of mind for too long. We're fine at Dline, however, so our Staff isn't all that worried about it. ME, Jr. was always going to be a luxury.
Jesus Shuttlesworth: So let's switch gears to Dorial Green-Beckham. What are you hearing?
Big Cigar: Our staff isn't as confident as they were after the visit but we still feel very much in the thick of the race. Again, Wyatt did a great job to set the table for Mack and now it's up to Mack to close the deal. Like I've told you before, his folks aren't all that thrilled with the head coaches at the other schools, but distance kind of equals things out. Our key is selling family atmosphere and the ability to play for championships because the other schools in the running can't compete there. Of course, we can't compete with geography.
Jesus Shuttlesworth: Percentages?
BC: I'd revise your 65% prediction down a bit because the coaches aren't as confident as they were a couple weeks ago.
JS: Fair enough. I know the squad is only involved with individual strength and conditioning and there isn't any official practice, but what's going on with the team from what you've gathered?
BC: Lots of weight vests and running is what I'm hearing to get ready for Wylie's version of the Navy Seals " Week". Trying to get a base-line of conditioning and initial soreness out of the way before they go all out. There will be lots of hard work and subsequent vomiting when they get into the meat of Wylie's spring preparation. They call it County Fair (laughing) and believe me it's a lot less pleasant than it sounds.
JS: I'm assuming Wylie just has someone mop up the vomit unlike some other programs?
BC: (Laughing) Yes.
JS: So during the pre-County Fair workouts, what's participation like so far?
BC: It's 100% attendance for those that are healthy is what I'm hearing. The kids are afraid of coming in out of shape to the County Fair—especially the linemen.
JS: What about the overall at ude of the team and some standouts individually?
BC: Overall, the team is excited about next season so they're really throwing themselves at Wylie's program. I guess you can say they're hungry even though some are dreading what's on the horizon with County Fair. They know there will be a sink or swim mentality.
JS: It also sounds like there will be some attrition as a result.
BC: The staff has accounted for it to be honest. Mike Davis is one they had an eye on, but he's saying all the right things and doing the work. I've been told they think he's turning the corner. But, rest assured there will be attrition. As for individuals emerging as leaders, I was told Vacarro, Walters, Desmond Jackson, and Calvin Howell were mentioned by name as holding players accountable for showing up and working hard. Demarco Cobbs is another name that you need to pay attention to. Cobbs is an animal in the weight room. He voluntarily works out twice a day when he's only required to do one workout. I don't know how he does it but he's living at Moncrief. The guy is on a quest is what I hear. Also, David Ash is carrying himself much differently than he did a month ago. He knows he's the guy and he's starting to rub off on other guys. He's organizing passing workouts and conditioning stuff with his wideouts. In fact, I've been told that John Harris has vowed to be Ash's go-to-guy next season. He's telling people he's going to follow David Ash around everywhere he goes to work on their timing. I don't know if you're seeing a Pied-Piper effect, but Ash is starting to fill a leadership void.
JS: Any other team anecdotes you can share?
BC: The defense is as y a group as we've seen come through on the 40 and not in a bad way. We had Vince Young's swagger rub off on the rest of the team, and that defense seems to have the same type of swagger. The secondary is full of talent, the defensive line is nearly three deep at every position, which leaves the linebackers feeling a bit left out. Chock it up to Cobbs living in the weight room, Steve Edmonds rededicating himself to conditioning, and Jordan Hicks living up to his talent after nagging injuries, but this group is developing its own swagger. I'm told that these three are seeking single digit jersey numbers--#1 Demarco Cobbs, #2 Steve Edmond, #3Jordan Hicks. I don't know how that will look come game day, but the kids think it's cool.
JS: Number 2 should have a slimming effect on Edmond. Any other tidbits?
BC: Yep, and quite frankly I hate it. Evidently Nike has sent three different uniform mock-ups for us to test this spring and potentially implement for next season. I'm told they involve black, white, and burnt orange and are similar in nature to what Oregon does with their uniforms. I don't know if the shiny helmet thing is being discussed but I don't like going away from tradition. Especially the whites. If we messed with the road whites I think we'd be crossing the line.
JS: How do the kids like it though? I imagine this would help recruiting.
BC: I suppose it would, but they better win if they're going to make changes to the uniform. But yes, the kids absolutely love the stuff. Heck, they loved the subtle change we made to the socks during the bowl games. I can't imagine if they went to the mirror helmet. I think that would be too much.
JS: I agree. But I can't wait to see what they're proposing.
BC: You'll see it in spring practice. But for now that's all I've got.
JS: Thanks.
I'll leave you with a final tidbit on 2013 recruiting. We were told that the staff has told some recruits at key positions that they're going to take their time on some decisions because they've made some hasty offers in the past. In line with that thinking look for the staff to look nationally for some prospects at positions they can't necessarily fill in state. We know of three national OOS prospects that the staff has been inquiring about. More on that later."
[Note: For more on several of the Horns' remaining 2012 prospects, see the Inside Texas Members Only forum: http://insidetexas.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=2]
Thanks Mex! It's a shame they moved those conversations to the pay portion of the site, even though they've been saying that for a while. Interested to see how recruiting finishes up, and count me as one who is interested in the new unis.
2013 QB Cody Thomas of Colleyville Heritage has been offered by Florida.

Not surprisingly, 6 of 6 pick DGB to Arkansas.
On a side note they are all projecting TJ to A&M.
Nice Floss. Thanks.
ATH Daje Johnson on the whirlwind that is his recruitment from Hook 'Em 24/7:
“I just felt in my heart like I wasn't making the right decision yet,” Johnson said. “It was just in my heart that I need to go down to Texas. I like Coach Applewhite a lot. I like him as a coach and he's a nice person and I feel like I need to go down there and take the visit.”
“He (Applewhite) didn't really ask why I turned it (the official visit) down, he just told me about why I needed to be at Texas and why I needed to take the visit,” Johnson said. “After talking with him, I felt in my heart again about Texas.”
“I love TCU, but there's something about Texas that means a lot,” Johnson said. “Again, I just feel going down there to take the visit is something I have to do.”
“I felt like Texas didn't really want me when I made the decision (to cancel the visit), but right after I made the decision I just felt sick to my stomach,” Johnson said. “I felt like I needed to give Texas a chance and I had the feeling that I need to go check it out.”
"I don't think they'd be spending all of this time and energy trying to get me to not go to TCU if they weren't going to offer," Johnson said. “I feel I've got a good chance, but we'll just see.”
“That's all fine and well (playing early at TCU), but I feel like I can come in and have that same opportunity at Texas,” Johnson said. “I know Texas does a great job getting their guys ready for the NFL. I'm going to come in and work hard, but I feel like at Texas with the coaches pushing me to, I can come in and be able to compete with anybody and earn my spot. I don't mean to sound y, but that's the kind if impact I think everything that Texas has to offer can have on my game.”
“I'm looking at what's best for me in the long run and when I'm done with football,” Johnson said. “I feel TCU and Texas are close academically, but a degree from Texas is something I have to consider. There are so many Texas alums that when I'm looking for a job, a degree from Texas is going to mean a lot.”
Rivals has confirmed that DE Bryce Cottrell received a Texas offer recently.
Wow! I really feel for Daje...I will be excited for him to get a Texas offer and commit.
He must feel like he's on a roller coaster ride with his recruitment and can't wait to get the off.
