I just noticed Kobe has higher career FG% than Pierce...
He gets fouled a lot and he shots a lot of 3's.

I am not sure I'd pick him in front of Pippen, Dr. J or even Elgin Baylor, and arguably Rick Barry and Bernard King had a higher ceiling though not the long career that Pierce has. But that is mostly due to the advancements in sport science. But he's somewhere in the top 10 of SF I'd think, probably ahead of guys like Nique and Havlicek. By the end of their career, LeBron and Durant should have overtaken him.
    Thank you!

I don't know what world I am in, but I agree with CR again. I think Pierce is great but like I said I think he is properly rated many on here see him as underrated I disagree. He is great without being the swiftest, or a great leaper but you don't get "bonus" points for that either.

As for Pippen I do think he was better but not THAT much better like ... I said I think Pip and Pierce, are a "notch" below Bird and Lebron. And no he is not extremly efficent he has two HOF'ers at his side without them he was very inefficient, but in his defense he didn't have much choice.

I'm not a numbers guy, but I think I would take Pip. Sure Pierce is more clutch ...but Pip carried a Bulls team minus Mj and Horace Grant almost to the Finals ...
    Thank you too.

Paul Pierce is one of the most underrated players ever.

No flash to his game at all. Not much athleticism to his game either. Focuses on fundamentals and has a fantastic jumpshot. All he needs is a small amount of space and can get his shots off, and he is as good as anyone at finding ways to create space. Oh and he's clutch as .
Pierce reminds me of one of those rec-league players with a bad body and knee braces who still schools guys half his age. That's actually a compliment.
A local sportswriter said that, even when he was young, Paul Pierce still played an old man's game. I thought it was fitting. I'm going to miss all the times he pulled up, then headfaked/tricked his defender into leaping, then created contact for the foul/and-1.
If I remember correctly, Im pretty sure Pierce used to drive alot when he was younger. I think he was always amongst the league leaders in FTAs. I remember this bc I always liked how good he was at absorbing contact, bigmen were always the ones bouncing back when he went up for a shot around the rim. Hes had to adjust his game as he aged but not sure I would call him crafty either tbh. Hes tall, has a high release, and uses the fadeaway well...I think thats the main reason why hes able to get his shot off whenever he wants not bc hes extremely crafty.

I won't ever forget him, 17 June 2010= s at the corners of his mouth, wooly boogers stuck in his arms pits, Kobe breakin' off 9 inches in his black ass.

    Buh, bye, Paul.

I'm guessing you won't forget Game 6 either though, amirite?

Whats funny is, I feel worse about PP and KG leaving that the Bruins losing. The Bruins are young and have more shots after all.

I hope they enjoy it in New York.

Please. They weren't Celtics in the true sense. Pierce is an old gangster & KG was a flash-in-the-pan. If KG was truly a legend he would have led them to more than the singular. He had us on the ropes ('60's-'80's vintage style) in '10 and could not close it. Media carried KG's water-&-turned a blind eye to Pierce's gang affiliation. Instead Media tied Rondo's black ass to the pillar & the post and beat it blue. No damn wonder Rondo wants to throttle Rivers.
