Thanks. I thought it was a terrible ruling at the core. It's really difficult to believe that statute does get interpreted like that all the time.

It's like indicting a killer for destroying the murder weapon before an investigation even started. I mean, if the point is to avoid "obstructing an investigation", then you would think there's need to be an investigation to begin with.
