I concur. I enjoyed a couple of her songs but don't feel bad for her AT ALL. She ruined herself. Looks like I won't be watching the news for a few days because this is likely the only thing they'll be talking about, because here in America we care more about one dead idiot celebrity than 100 people dying in a single day on the other side of the world.

It's very sad he we try to empower ourselves by clinging to this one last opportunity to make a celebrity wrong and make ourselves right by passing judgement in somebody's moment of death. Don't let that last opportunity to tear down a celebrity and feel good about yourself slip away!

She made a number of awful choices in her life. No point in glossing that over. The media can be relied on to do that. She'll be canonized St. Whitney by the end of the month.

She owes Media that. They carried her water since the started. Every time there was a scrap & dust up Media would muddy the waters, take the story, keep her safe. Same with the Florida courts. Every time she & Brown the bed down there they'd take her out of it and then laugh like .
Cept Houston,,,they're all still laughin'.
And soon as she met Bobby, the odds started to even out a bit
I've never been a fan but it was hard not to notice her in her prime--The Voice, and stunningly beautiful. So sad those blessings couldn't overcome the chaos of her life. RIP.

All types of people fall prey to the dark side of drugs..be it street or pharmacuetical the end result is often the same...but to not have feelings...human feeling about a persons death is sad..scarey if you really think about it...human compassion should not have any rules...

Wow. I'm watching Piers Morgan and a close friend of hers just revealed that the drug taking didn't start when she got mixed up with Bobby. and Chaka's pissed.
She was mad because no one was basically looking after Whitney like they should've taking into account that she was an addict. Chaka said that usually artists fly in a couple of days before a one off gig like that. Apparently Whitney showed up a whole week before and she went buck wild. Apparently she was pretty clean leading up to the Grammy's. Chaka is an addict herself and said her, Whitney and Bobby would get high together. She was also mad because that same party was in the hotel they found her in, which I didn't know. That's pretty messed up imho. Especially since it was Clive that was throwing it.
Yep, her stiff cold body and the party went on as scheduled. Clive said Whitney would have wanted it to.
Could just as easily put this in the "most annoying FB status" thread, but I was rolling my eyes a lot yesterday reading post after post after the reports that Whitney had Xanax in her system pissing and moaning about how prescription drug companies are the ones to blame and how do they get away with selling dangerous drugs with addictive side effects, etc. Look, you're never going to find me going to bat for these companies. There's a laundry list of things wrong with them. But these people didn't give a about that when they woke up on Saturday morning and if we're being honest they still don't. A celebrity died; one that they liked enough that they wish she had been better than to go out the way she did. Latching on to an excuse changes nothing.
The party ended and her body was still there. Oh, and Chaka said that Whitney was one that would say "hold up" to everything if something drastic happened. <shrugs>
Check out her segment on Piers's website. I didn't know she was still there but it made sense. Heard she was taken out of the hotel around 5 or so.
Yeah. I knew she was an addict but I thought it was booze and pot. Ive seen some concerts of hers and she looks high like a kite but she was somewhat functional. She's lost quite a bit of weight too. I was surprised and happy to hear that she's 7 years sober.
I had always read that she was in/out of rehab before she even met Bobby...so it's crazy that people are always blaming him. I guess it can't be the pretty woman's fault.
It's sad for her daughter, family and friends. But when someone gets a million opportunities to "get sober" and still chooses to party, then there's not much anyone else can do for them.
