This is true.
We'll see this rolled out officially after 6.0 Cheesecake is announced.
6.0 would not be cheese cake. It would be 6.0 Krispy Kreme.
copyright infringment tbh
Don't ask for a date, it'll only make you mad.
ok. i've got a week or so of hands-on ICS usage. i'm liking it a bit more. didn't like the updated stock browser but i got ICS+ like someone suggested on here and that works way better for me. one thing i don't like is my phone idles at around 400mb of RAM when it was usually 280mb on gingerbread. i like how you can now disable services and i freed up some RAM but it's still a little laggy. ah well.
I updated my Note to ICS 4.04 and now it absolutely s on iOS. The phone flies, the functionality (already pretty sweet) was enhanced with some new S-Pen apps, and the NFC is now active. Dunno what I'm gonna do with it, but it works.
I can't imagine Jelly Bean being a huge improvement over ICS like ICS was over Gingerbread.
At one point, an OS matures, and I think Android has reached that stage
From now on, improvements should be minor
you had iOS on your Note?
lol...no.Used to have an iPhone 4.
my 4s is a of a lot smoother than my 4 was![]()
My step-daughter had a 4s. I didn't notice alot of difference, tbh. She has a S3 now.
Did you switch carriers or just sell the 4s?
Actually, I still have it as a backup phone if I need it. We're all on AT&T.
She's pretty hard on phones so it'll likely be pressed into service.![]()
I am not looking forward to that. I'm gonna look into phone riders on my renter's insurance or something. My daughter is 7...
She's 22 but handles phones like an 8 year old.![]()
I finally upgraded to ICS on my galaxy s2 and I'm hating it. I miss ginger.
My battery seems to suck balls now, my Swype keyboard messes up sometimes, and videos on my browser don't show up automatically life they used to.
Annoying.
ICS came installed on my HTC One S
No problem for me
Just you![]()
Also, I have trouble moving the screen in the Web browser.
Like if I move straight left or right, I can't continue moving up/down/diagonally, and vice versa. If that makes sense.
I have to stop touching the screen, then swipe up/down
Makes reading stuff like message boards unnecessarily annoying, I can't just move the page any which way with one swipe.
I have att, so just manually did the update via kies on the computer
I really don't see what's the big deal if improvement over ginger bread
The samsung implementation of ICS was pretty much (not to say totally) buggy on my SGS2.
So, I rooted it and switched to the Resurrection Remix ICS Pro Rom (Aroma installer with multiple kernel provided such as Siyah and Fluxi, AOKP, no more Touchwiz, what could I ask for more)...
And this one is working perfectly...
