This is all pretty exciting (i guess), but if we don't ultimately have D12 in a Lakers jersey by next season then we lose (assuming Pau is already gone).

Doesn't appear to be ATL either per Woj. So no HOU or ATL likely at this point (could obviously be changed and people lie all the time). Leaves ORL, GS or BOS as the likely spots.
The unpolished argument was a good one 3 or 4 years ago, not so much these days. He's now 26, at or near his physical prime, his skills have improved but not enough to think he's going to become much better than what he is now.
He's still the best center by far, but he is now in the what you see is what you'll get stage of his carrer imo.
At this point I'd be willing to bet it's any of the teams targeting Pau floating bull out there to keep the heat on and stir the drama pot in the Lakers locker room a little with the deadline creeping up. The last round of Pau trade rumors didn't help that team out any, now you have this on the back of a few bad losses, rumors of players being unhappy with shot distribution, voicing concerns about their coach, etc. Who knows? Let all that stew by the deadline maybe the Lakers will have come down on their asking price.

If it's Lowry and Scola I would be really really pissed. I don't know why Houston would do that, take on a 30 year old PF who's not in his prime fort and give up these many assets, when you are not close to being a contender anyway. If they are dealing those two they should be looking for younger pieces.
lakers ain't tradin him unless its for another big name like DH or Deron. pau's role has been reduced since brown took office and he ain't no more that important as he was in PJ's system but there's still an awful lot of trading value in him and the lakers ain't sellin him cheap anyway
