Fragile! Retire!
Bottom line: Manu IS injury prone. Some of it is bad luck, some of it is getting on in age, but a lot of it is just the style that he plays. Manu only knows one speed, and that's full speed. It's what makes him injury prone, but it's also what makes him the special player that he is.
Andat anyone who thinks Manu doesn't want to be out on the court every second of every game. If the coaching staff didn't stop him, he'd play through every single minor injury, and he'd come back from major injuries 2 weeks too soon, every single time. If it wasn't for the Spurs coaching and training staff holding him back, he would've had a career-ending injury by now.
Fragile! Retire!
lol first game he starts he pulls a pussy muscle
for s sake manu
you need to focus
1. no one is overreacting to this injury, Manu is injury prone
2. due in large part to the Spurs sticking with Manu even after is was obvious that he was injury prone and, even when healthy, can be neutralized in the playoffs, the SKY WILL FALL, AGAIN, for the Spurs and Spurs fans in 2012.
Blessings in disguise are numerous this year.
much to your chagrin, he's was easily the best Spur last playoffs
Bonner fan talks about coming short in the playoffs

A Christmas story!![]()
LOL after I said Fraginobili, this one is perfect follow up! HAHAHHA good shyt.
Is anyone surprised Manu is fragile at this point? He's 34 and has played 9 seasons of frenetic, smash and crash basketball. We just have to cross our fingers with his health.
Trade him for a big man, to a team that wants to clear cap space for next years free agentapolooza.
Then Manu can retire gracefully.. I'd never want to see him in another uniform.
I agree it doesn't look serious but its amazing how just touching this guy makes him injured.![]()
Manu's just getting the injuries out of the way.
I was sitting right there and can confirm that everyone was baffled by his departure. Then he came back and was stretching,as if he was about to play. Manu looked very badass in his 20 minutes tonight.....
Bunch of haters overreacting tbh. Why would Pop insert the best player on the team back against the Washington Wizards when the Spurs are up big? It was precautionary seeing that he came back out to the bench after he went to the locker room. Im sure if the Spurs lead was seriously threatened at any point the best closer in the game wouldve came in to seal the deal. be back for the next game.
Manu's style of play = pounding
Manu = rock
"Pounding the rock"
...eventually the rock does break, but it's still a in' rock...
Hopefully it isn't a big deal and he will be back for the next game. Saying that, there is definitively something wrong with Manu's conditioning. That's disappointing, to say the least.
Typical Manu...nothing to see here.......
Yeah, I wondered too why Pop was putting Parker back in the game in the 4th Q.
Do y'all prefer Turnobili vs. Fraginobili?
to be fair Parker has played at more frenetic, more smash and crash and as many years. And he aint no spring chicked either.
just saying![]()
You don't do a quad strech after pulling a quad. If anything , i thought that was Manu showing im ready to come back on the court if needed.
Saw an ice pack on it earlier so seems pre-cautionary.
Pretty sure it was just cramping as well. He looked fine the last time he walked off the court for a timeout. After they came back from commercial, he was limping to the locker room, so it seems pretty apparent that it just tightened up on him while he was on the bench / sidelines. For a guy who has been in and out so much this season, his legs probably aren't at 100% yet, so shouldn't be a huge surprise.
Not worried about it....yet.
Manu should have been traded after the last le. I said it then and I still say it now.
Coming back the following year after the le with the same team was not wise. Other teams were upgrading and the spurs stood still and watched other teams pass them by.
Spurs talk nation should give up the notion that Manu will lead them to another le.
