Dirk quit. Just marking the spot.
Quitting means definite. He was on hiatus. Saving those legs for the playoffs instead of stat padding in the reg season.

That isn't the NBA protocol, End.

    Dirk quit.

    Live with it.

    You've no other choice.

So what if he quit? I really don't get that shtick. He should quit like that more often in the regular season. Only bricklayers like Kirby care about 25 points a game in some meaningless regular season games. This is why I loved Shaq so much...se didn't give a about regular season and took his 20 games off during regular season, and laughed watching statpadders operate. Dirk should quit for 20 games a season until he retires tbh. Who cares?

uh uh daddy, there is no NBA protocol on this one.

See, 5>4 it is. I concede that. Math will do that to you. 5>4 is a clear, simple argument. That's NBA protocol.

3 for 20 while your big man is beastin' is also NBA protocol, you can't run away from that. 33 points in 30 minutes with 60% shooting is also NBA protocol.

All the rest is up to judge. MavKrew, the one and only interested party on the matter, has reached verdict:
Dirk was on a hiatus! He should take more of those if it helps him to play in March like he is doing now! Verdict was unanimous!

Now move along, nothing else to see here.

No. Uh, uh. There is no NBA protocol that holds a player can quit for a week because a couple weeks earlier he didn't want to touch a basketball ever again. Sure, Media let it slide because, he's white and there was no % in it for them. And I'm white too, but, that aside Dirk quit. You can move along all you want, but, you're living with Dirk quitting and that's just the way it's gonna be, daddy.

I know. And since Media won't take him to task, I'm stepping into the void and doing so.

Dirk quit. And if you had a hair on your ass you'd come clean and take your medicine.

Dirk did exactly what you did, Cubby. Did you quit or did you go on hiatus?

Dirk did what was best for the team. He needed to rest and recover. Now it is paying off.

But, it's inherently wrong. Just because Media didn't bother to break his ass over don't make it right. He quit. It's wrong.

You value regular season way too much. It's about preparing for the playoffs.

Anyone notice the 3 hook shots dirk used last night? That hook is becoming more common and if he can master that , dirk will be even more unguardable imo.

I did actually. Thing is he's been talking about adding the hook for years yet rarely uses it. I think he said sometime ago that he practices it but has never been very sure of himself to use it in actual games.

If he adds that it means 1-2 more years of good play for him, because it's a shot that requires even less mobility than the one legged fadeaway.

p.s Giuseppe just stop, you are running out of arguments. Dirk was on a break, MavKrew decided it unanimously. Deal with it. No 5>4 here, take that to SpurFan.
