One more.
HCA throughout is what the Spurs should be playing for. Spurs are currently tied with the Bulls but the Bullsh have a tough game against the Pacers tonight.
One more.
Something to play for but not at the expense of team health.
Big 3 will not play at GS tomorrow so the bench are getting some really good practice ahead of the playoffs.
Let's do it! Just one more.
Also, if I'm not wrong, we are the only team this season to hit a 10-game winning streak.
And we can do it again for a third time! Not bad in a lockout season. Props to the team and the coaching staff.![]()
Thank you Telfair and Warrick for the technical and two unchallenged rim check dunk attempts, negative 5 points for Phoenix in a 4 point win.![]()
I thanks you too, because I bet on Spurs -2.5 pts.![]()
Annoyed by all the 50-win-streak talk, since the Spurs won the equivalent of 68 games in 1999 and about 64 this year.
Reaching the 50 win milestone with our bench guys would be fantastic and fitting. They've been a huge part of our success.
One win left to go with absolutely no pressure. I wonder if Chicago would dare rest their star(s) tonight. They play Cleveland in Chicago. That should be a gimme but with the added pressure that we could steal HCA for the playoffs, they might get a little tight.
Lets get this b*tch tonight!
50 wins baby!
The Warriors have to lose. They currently have 23 wins which puts them at 8th worst. However, New Jersey (22 wins) and Toronto (22 wins) go head to head tonight so somebody will get 23 wins to tie GS in the win column as 7th worst team. Not sure what happens in a tie but a loss probably gives GS a chance.
The Spurs were favored on the road, we were unsure of the status of the big 3 playing and you still bet on the Spurs to cover?
Ballsy bet.![]()
You certainly do get the feeling that if the Celtics or Lakers were approaching a record for most 50 win seasons, there would be a lot more buzz about looking at this as a streak of 50+ win seasons or the equivalent. /broken record
Being nit-picky about that, though:
They won the equivalent of 61 in 1999.
37 wins/50 games = .740
.740 * 82 games = 60.68 wins
Assuming a win tonight, they'll have won the equivalent of about a 62 win season:
50 wins/66 games = .758
.758 * 82 games = 62.156
The Spurs started out 6-8 and went on a tear after the Utah loss. The win pace after that point was .861, which is 59-9 in a normal season. It's only 65 wins, not 68 (poor estimation on my part). It was a 71 win pace over the remainder of that season.
Not that ballsy, I just be $77 to win $70, the farm was safe.
