There are different types of business degrees, and schools are ranked by each degree pretty much everywhere, not as general business schools. And yeah, some business degrees are worthless, but not the ones m>s and I are in. I'm curious what link FkLA has. I'm also curious how many job offers UTSA engineers generally get

This is part of package on college degrees and jobless rates. Read the other story: 25 college majors with the highest jobless rates.

Will I get a job when I graduate from college?

That's a huge question that college students are asking themselves, now perhaps more than ever. Students who select more marketable college majors are going to increase their chances of landing a job.

The Georgetown University Center on Education and the Workforce used U.S. Census Bureau statistics to tease out the unemployment rates for 173 college majors. I looked at the 100 most popular college majors and pulled out the 25 majors with the lowest unemployment.

College majors with lowest unemployment rates

This is actually a good point, if the Study says nothing if the graduates were hired in their field.

From what I've seen at my work place Business is a great second degree to get once you have like 3-5 years of experience working in your field, it basically qualifies you to work as a manager with a few people under you.

Engineering is generally a bad choice right now unless you're some sort of prodigy because they are just importing ones with experience from India for 65k a year right now. If you go engineering, you better be in chemical, aerospace, or petroleum something with high growth and you better be a damn prodigy and make good grades too. Besides that, better get into something they can't necessarily import. USA still has some of the best and most advanced business schools, meaning many of our executives are homegrown rather than imported like the engineers because many countries are starting to catch up to us in the sciences. Another good one is anything medical, again something that's in demand and they aren't likely to mass import.

Tbh I'm pretty sure most accountants are males, just because there99% males in engineering doesn't mean it's the same for other degrees.

You're probably confusing Bookkeepers with accountants....CPA/Staff accountants are probably 90%+ male.

it is true that accounting is less male dominated than other degrees..women are usually very detail oriented and suited for accounting. they're usually the ones who never move up or go anywhere in the field tho, they're our bottom es handling all the dirty work and giving free bj's in the break room

Regardless, the fact that you are putting yourself in such a high position with a finance degree from UTA is a joke.

Can I see your acceptance letter to Wharton? You know, the business school with a less than 10% acceptance rate.
