The LeBron haterade is past its expiration date, IMO.
From PFT, not exactly NBA news but two seasons later and everyone still thinks LeBron is a
Owned. Hopefully this leads to beef between the two that can only be settled in the Octagon on PPV.Colts defensive end Dwight Freeney is 32 years old. He’s due a whopping $14.035 million base salary. Indianapolis is changing defensive schemes for the first time in Freeney’s career. But new coach Chuck Pagano and G.M. Ryan Grigson want to keep their top pass rusher, and Freeney has bought in.
“I’m kind of old school when it comes to that thought,” Freeney told Alex Marvez of Sirius XM Radio. “I’m not LeBron trying to leave the team. I’m more like the era of Magic and Lawrence Taylor, who stayed with that same team for their entire careers win, lose, or draw. They were married to the city they were drafted in. You go through the tough times and great times with them, and that’s it. That’s what I’m looking forward to.”
Collecting over fourteen million bucks surely makes life easier, but Freeney’s approach is honorable in the sense that the Colts lost 14 games last season and must rebuild the roster. They do plan to be compe ive in 2012, however, and have demonstrated that by re-signing Robert Mathis and Reggie Wayne, while retaining Freeney despite large salary cap implications.
The LeBron haterade is past its expiration date, IMO.
When am I ever going to get to post a Colts related article in the NBA forum ever again? Let me have my moment.
THat Freeney dude is pretty re ed
- Magic played on a stacked team with a HOF coach
- Lebron played with scrubs in Cleveland
- Magic threatened to skip the draft if the Bulls drafted him instead of the Lakers
Yeah
Old school my ass
Didn't his team just pull a reverse LeBron on Peyton?
"loyalty"
Got my money on Freeney, tbh.
Overrated? No...Does it exist anymore? Rarely, unfortunately.
Why are people still bringing up Lebron leaving? Is he the only one in professional sports who went to another team because the team he was on wasn't winning it all after years of trying? Not owned tbh
It's pretty funny.
Teams can trade you wherever they want but you can't leave the team if you want
Duncan fans can't talk about loyalty. He betrayed his race!!!
Do people always for get that LeBron resigned with Cleavland once already before dipping.
LeBron's not the only who couldn't do it himself so he bailed on the team that drafted him. But he's definitely the only that made a spectacle out of it live on ESPN.
You might think you're getting away with this because 96% of the people on this board don't even know what the NFL is, but you're not fooling me Texan Fan.
You obviously don't understand the concept of "Free Agent".
yah buddy...my boys reppin hard today.![]()
Players wanting to be loyal even though management doesn't give a about them.
he'll change his mind at the end of the year after another pitiful season.
pinning hopes on luck.
This is true, and it simply doesn't exist. People confuse "loyalty" with "Living in the same city for close to 10 years where tons of your friends and family are so you really don't feel like moving somewhere else to end your career".
2 les in Cleveland > 4 les with SuperFriends
he wasn't gonna win any les in Cleveland
#1 seed back2back years. They won 66 games one year
