If this team can't dig for two wins out of five it had no heart to begin with.
TBH, I'm in glad it didn't end on game 2. I had a bad feeling about that game.

THIS
Who would have thought the Spurs would be 2 wins away from the NBA Finals this year? I'm damn proud of them anyway.
Although I have always maintained it would take 5 games to win this, the one loss is always a kick in the nuts. Though my homer glasses, I really thought the game was in reach in the 4th quarter and down by 20+. Even when Blair and Mills were added. I thought, what the heck? Maybe they can change the energy? (which plain sucked)
Anyway, bad night for the big 3. Corrections to be made and Thunder have to do this incredible effort again.
and again.
and one more time in a hostile SA crowd.
Thanks, OKC. For a great wake up call. Tomorrow is a new day.
It'll be a weight off of our guy's backs too; though they say they never think about it or it was meaningless, I'm sure it somehow created extra unnecessary pressure. Adios 20 game streak!
yeah i was trolling a little bit
Props to the Spurs on the 20 game win streak. Now, lets move on from all that crap and get 2 more wins to get to the Finals, and then 4 more wins from there.

Thanks Fernando, great compilation!
Recognised!
Twas an awesome ride from the moment we traded for Jax, and RJ the Albatross was lifted from the Spurs' collective backs.
The way Jax and Diaw fitted straight into the team, and even enhanced the already pretty strong chemistry, was astounding and a joy to watch evolve.
A loss in game 3 was inevitable given the energy expended to win games 1 and 2. But I think we might see a game for the ages in game 4, and if we're fortunate we'll start a new streak from there.![]()
This and this.
Don't get me wrong, I want the Spurs to win another 6 games sooooooo badly for so many different reasons, but even if they don't, WHAT A SEASON!
You can't always get what you want, and the important part is the journey - so far it's been one uva journey. And I think we're a long way from finished.![]()
you know what they always say:
it's not about the journey, it's all about the destination.
Actually, it's the other way around.
Still...Spurs in 5.
Your sig speaks truth.
Time to get the next streak started.
a 6 win in a row now would be sweet... :p
That's what I said in the game thread, we always had a blowout loss in most of the playoffs including championship runs!
How did I miss this post/reference? Simply AMAZING. I am so, so proud to be a Spurs fan.
Sheer brilliance from you yet again.![]()
Yeah... it just ing sucks to be a young(er) er. I am so ashamed of myself--and my mother and father as well.![]()
Just... Damn us younger pups (and "GNSF") all to , I say!!!!![]()
Agreed.![]()

Spur Forever in good or bad weatherWhat a Joyful 45+ days for Spurs fans all pver the world it was!
I remember what they were like, don't worry.
I've been a fan for as long as I remember - granted, I'm not as old as you so it's not as long but I've been right there since I can remember.
It's been a great ride, don't get me wrong. I've had a lot of fun watching the games (that I could) and laughing as people doubted the team. But in the end, do you really think people will talk about it? "Oh yah, remember towards the end of Duncan's career when he had that 20 game win streak, but then couldn't get a championship?"
Like I said, in the end, it only matters who wins and hoists the banner/trophy. Sorry if you don't agree, and sorry to whoever feels they need to quantify their feelings by insulting me and my philosophy.
it was bull and real bball fans know this. Shortened season, lots of injuries, weak opponents. BS streak IMO
I like what happened the last time the Spurs were blown out. Hopefully history repeats itself.
