DD going all Dr. Phil on here.![]()
It's like someone died. Barely even sinking in. At first I tried to ignore it, tried not letting it get to me. Today it started feeling like a funeral, literally. Yes, it's just basketball.
But it's my team. It was our year, it really was. I really wanted Manu to get one more ring.
the NBA, the corrupt ing fraud that it is. OKC, Miami. I'm rooting for Boston, but we already know the fix is in and ass Lebron is going to the Finals, escorted by piece of David Stern himself.

Hoping the Celtics come out the east and somehow manage to take it all.
OKC
Heat win assuming Bosh is 95%+
Heat in 6. LeBron MVP.
i won't be watching. there is no way the heat will lose game 7 and whomever stern wants to win the le will win. i'm thinking durant since he has a movie coming out(which coincidentally premiered the tv spot for the first time after they "advanced" the other night). i'm done with the league man.
lol at least we are better than the Fakers. Best thing about this season is the suckiness of the Fakers.
Still in a state of depression every time I think of the series...
Thunder will beat Miami/Boston in 6.
You were fooled by the fools gold season. One look at the Spurs roster and you will see too weak of a frontline that is not a championship level team.
The spurs did well to get as far as they did and had to get lucky playoff matchups to get there. The Lakers for sure or even Memphis like last year could have beaten the Spurs if they met up in earlier playoff rounds. The Spurs were not that much different of a team than they were from last season.
Jackson and Diaw were slight upgrades but not enough of a difference maker in the end.
The lakers would have taken down the Spurs. The Lakers would have destroyed the Spurs on the frontline.
I'm going fine tbh
that was a of an unexpected season ! First time in a long time, the spurs were healthy too bad it was a couple of years too late.
I don't know who to root for, in that case it will come naturally after the first 5 mn of game 1, I'll start rooting for one team unconsciously.
I know you are stupid![]()
F the Heat and Thunder.
I already started watching Spurs old games I have on tape. I'm glad I keep a VCR
Yesterday I saw Spurs-Rockes game 3 from 1995 WCF. Spurs won with big game from Robinson and Elliott. Del Negro made some big shots too. Olajuwon was amazing with 41 and a very young and athletic Horry was making 3s and dunking like crazy
I'm glad I erased games 5 and 6 of that series.![]()
I hate OKC, I hate Miami, I hate Boston.
I want Spurs![]()
I think the heat will win it all and Lebron will get his 1st ring.
I'm already looking forward to watching my spurs next season. They went further this year than most people thought they would. can't wait for November for the start of the season!
Spurs win IN MY MIND (kenny smith voice yelling).
Since Game 6, I am feeling a certain way towards the league in a whole. It's extremely frustrating as a fan, and I'm really done with all of it that's not Spurs related. I'm not even that mad at the guys, they fought and fought and were denied.
That said, I really don't care who wins this year. I really don't like Miami at all, but I'd hope they beat OKC. In fact, a perfect scenario would be Boston overcoming the odds tonight and beating OKC.
But in a shortened season, where money was lost, there's no way that will happen. OKC/Miami= Ratings and some mediocre quality basketball.
Call me bitter, but it is what it is. lol
Heat and Lebron. Eventhough nobody really cares about the Heat or Lebron anymore. NBA doesn't know what its doing anymore.
Didn't really think of the money lost by the lockout being a contributing factor to giving the Thunder three extra players on the court at any given time during the playoffs. It's like the NBA allowed the Spurs to hit that 20 game milestone and then said "if you like streaks so much we got you."
League putting OKC in the Finals makes sense now. In 1999, Michael Jordan had just retired and the quality of ball played that season was so ty they surely didn't care and just let the Spurs steamroll. With the Heat up 2-0 and the percentage of series wins that comes with that kind of lead, the league obviously felt obliged to help the Thunder out of their 0-2 hole on the way to a backdoor sweep. Kevin Durant played lights out, he's pretty much the only Thunder player that has my respect. Stephen Jackson getting a technical foul for starting at the sideline when Perkins was noted for staring at the TNT sideline booth in Game 3 and Harden caught doing it to various people and players at random times makes the whole thing sour to me.
In the words of the immortal Mr. French, "This is America. You don't make money, you're a in' bag."
The Spurs don't make money.
Not too bad, work and commuting keeps me busy.
But the loss of the fun and pleasure of the games, and anticipation before the games, does hurt. 4th qtr Game6 was an extremely distasteful way to go out. OKC was better, but the Spurs played some fantastic quarters in the series, and still could have brought it back to SA.
As for the Finals I would prefer the Eastern Conference designate to win at any cost. Only post-1999 team to ring after eliminating Spurs from playoffs is the Shaq Lakers, a fairly dominant squad. Since 2004 no team that has eliminated the Spurs has rang.
It's hard to admit but the Spurs simply ran into a better team. It really sucks because, for a while there, it looked like the Spurs were the team of destiny for that elusive 5th le. It's still kind of hard to believe it's over, but watching the backdoor sweep, of them losing 4 straight games, gave me time to prepare for the inevitable.
I will watch the Finals and hope OKC puts down whomever is their opponent. After that, I'm turning my attention to the draft and free agency.
Thunder in 6... Could win in 5 if bosh doesn't play like he did pre injury
I need Sally to move in next door....![]()
Get mad whenever I think about it but I've been pretty busy lately.. I'm rooting for Boston tonight..
