    I love the double-standart

Malone gets props when the Lakers beat San Antonio in 2004. In this case Duncan is a PF because old Malone hold his own against TD, even though Duncan had a 21/12 series and Malone was 10/8.

When Duncan gets 27ppg/17rpg/5apg against prime Shaq in 2002 (Shaq was 21/12/3) it doesn't matter because Duncan isn't a C and Shaq played against D-Rob.

But when it comes to compare Duncan with other PFs, Duncan is a C. I assume that D-Rob, Rasho and Nazr were all PFs then.

It doesn't matter that young KG played as a SF and played as a Center in the end of his career.
It doesn't matter that Dirk is a perimeter player that has never played as a prototype PF, ever.
It doesn't matter that Chucky played the forward position his whole career with the size of a SG.
It doesn't matter that Bird he played as a PF once he slowed down. The label stuff is not applied to him. He is a SF.

The thing is: Duncan is better than Malone and Malone knows it. That's why he brings the label up everytime he talks about TD.

He should be happy to be considered the 2nd best PF of all time, considering the choke artist he was in the playoffs. If i had to choose a PF among the GOAT PF list, Malone would be the last one i would choose. I would take KG, Dirk and Chucky over him, especially if my team didn't have a HOF PG feeding my player.

Jordan was not in the Finals in 94, 95 and after 98 btw. This excuse got old.

Malone is just upset cause he knows Tim is way better than him as a power forward or a center.

I was just watching the Dan Patrick show where he was talking to Karl Malone and he asked Karl "who is the best PF of all time you or Duncan?".Malone said Tim is not a PF, he has range but he isn't a pf he's a center. Then Dan Patrick asked him again and Karl said "if I had to chose of course it would be me no doubt i'm the best ever".
I thought that was funny. No doubt Malone was an excellent PF but no way better than timmy D.
he also said if he were to start a team with any player on the dream team it would be scottie pippen.

Tim is a PF. It's not Tim's fault the team has been to pathetic to bring in a complete roster and get at least one Center. He plays to compensate for a lack of having a Center.

He's always had the size to play center, he basically was a center playing PF because David was on the team. & please don't bring up those big stiffs the Spurs brought in like Nazr & Rasho, when it was finishing time who was the damn center? Nuff said!

Malone is just saying what everyone outside of a Spurs fan feels. Duncan is a center.
If he had stopped there, it would have been fine.

He decided to be dumb though.

Regardless what you think of Malone, many have said that Duncan isnt a forward and just pretends to be.

This includes Marc Stein, Bucher etc.

He plays with his back to the basket. He uses a baby hook A LOT. He's 6'11'. He doesnt like to shoot from outside.

Hes a center in all but name. No need to get all butt-hurt about it.

Besides, Larry Bird is the best forward of all time so who cares?
This is one re ed post. Most Power Forwards do play with their back to the basket. Only this new generation of players have become perimeter oriented 4's. He's a Center because he uses a baby hook shot? Worst logic ever. He's shot jump shots his entire career, thousands of them, hence why his PATENTED SHOT is a JUMP SHOT using the glass. He can play both positions and has throughout his career. He won 3 out of his 4 NBA Championships playing PF. He's a PF who can slide over to C with his versatility. And Larry Legend is a SF, always was playing with McHale at the 4 and Parrish at 5 so there's no comparison there. Most NBA experts and true NBA fans will say that Duncan is the greatest PF of all-time.

Garnett is ahead of Dirk. Can't be a prisoner of the moment. Garnett is a HOFer on both sides of the ball. He's a MUCH better rebounder & shot blocker than Dirk. Dirk is great offensively and a better shooter but didn't play a lick of D until the past couple years and is still not very good for a 7 footer. I'd put McHale ahead of Barkley too since he won 3 Championships. Also, Duncan's the only PF i've seen with better footwork than McHale imo.

Who was the PF on the 4th championship team? I'm not trying to be contrary or anything, but I really thought Oberto was our starting C and TD was the PF.
