I'm looking forward to watch the beautiful passing basketball if they can duplicate what they did last year.

At this point, I don't really care about the ring anymore. I was really enjoying last year Spurs more than any other Spurs in the past several years. To watch Leonard grew in front of our eyes, the swagger from SJ, and the magical passing from Diaw. To be honest, I have never seen any other team play as well as the Spurs in their 20 game winning streak(offensively).

Explain to me how not re-signing Duncan when we were two games away from the Finals last year (and imo, still only lost because Stern "booked" it to be a series win for OKC) is a bad move. Because I'm not seeing it.

I like that they bring back the team that was so successful last season. But the Spurs will never be in a better position to win the le than last season. Ok, the refs really screwed them, but the Thunder were really good as well. Anybody can say Ibaka will not shoot 11/11 FG again, but the series showed, if something like this does not happen, another thing will. The Spurs need a defensive PF, and I do not see how they can afford one.

And don't forget the Spurs stayed relatively healthy (except Manu) compared to other teams. With key Spurs players in the Olympic tournament I expect an 82 game season to take its toll as it did the years before last season.

So the Spurs will likely stay above "mediocrity", but too much will be missing coming season to get over the hump ...
