You are stuck with Bynum because the Magic are toying with everyone.

A double@Heat fan for panicking at the prospect of this new Super team being formed
thinking I am scared of an old and slow team with a ty bench
you being on suicide watch
Stupid Spur fan troll.![]()
Obvious Timvp is obvious.![]()
It's obviousy you, DD...duh!
Then who in your opinion?
I'm sworn to secrecy, but I can assure you it's not timvp.
That wouldn't last long. Remember when Kobe acted like the same kind of and Laker fan was back to fellating him by week 2 of the season?
His ing proved to be a great business decision, though![]()
Yeah, but those two weren't real les since Kobe's act and Fisher's exploitation of his daughter ensured those rings were devoid of the kind of class we have come to expect out of champs after our 4.
The Cleveland Cavaliers are eager partners in the three-way blockbuster trade talks to send Dwight Howard to the Los Angeles Lakers, but won’t proceed until the Lakers grant the them permission to talk to All-Star Andrew Bynum and his agent about the center’s willingness to sign a contract extension, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.
"Cleveland will only do the deal if Bynum extends," a league official directly involved in the talks told Yahoo! Sports.
Los Angeles wants the structure of a three-team deal agreed in principle before letting Cleveland take that next step to communicate with Bynum and his representatives – and that won’t happen until Orlando makes a decision that it wants to also lock-in the framework of a trade, sources told Y!
Does anyone really think Bynum is going to extend with Cleveland?![]()
Don't worry, I will make sure to bump this in 6-7 months.
Jarrod Rudolph Interview on 710 ESPN:
Q: What changed for Dwight? For example all along we were talking to people close to him and he said he would sign an extension with the Nets but nobody else. What changed?
A: Well the cir stances first. The cir stances where Brooklyn and the routes to Brooklyn became more limited and it was now a pipe dream that was being chased ... it was going to be more problems that what it was worth. But when you look at the organization, and what the Lakers have always done, and you look at the moves that they'd made this summer that team becomes more interesting. And he's there... he's right in the heart of it. He hears the fans talking about it, he hears you guys talking about it and he sees it. He can't escape this team that's gearing up, that wants him and is good enough to win without him. So you start to think about where he wants to go in his career
You know, Dwight wants to learn to be a better leader. Dwight wants to learn to be a better player and you look at Steve Nash and Kobe Bryant and the organization as a whole, that seems to take care of their own and you think to yourself, "why am I fighting something that can offer me everything that I need and want?" The Lakers can be a finishing school for Dwight and take him from being a great talent to an incredible leader and one of the best players of all time. You play with Kobe, you play with Nash, you're going to learn to lead. You're around the Lakers you'll learn what it's like to be in the front office, like what they've helped Magic Johnson do. These are the things they can offer Dwight Howard that not even Brooklyn can offer and I think when he weighed the pros and the cons, considering where the cir stances had led him, that it was an inevitable decision. It was time to put it out there that he was ready to come to LA. Now of course I haven't had the opportunity to speak to Dwight at length. He does not want to play this out in the media. But I trust my sources and I trust that if Orlando pulls this thing off, that Dwight's going to be a Lakers and you guys are in for a of a ride.
Q: I suggested yesterday and I was encouraged by your report that I read today, Dwight went to a Dodger game this week and he was on the Diamond Vision screen and he got a huge ovation... fans were obviously and clearly excited that Dwight was there. At one moment, he put on a Dodger cap...did that have anything to do with his warming to LA?
A: That was the finishing touches. You gotta look at it like this: this guy, for the last 4 months has been getting killed. He can't go any place... He wanted to go to Brooklyn but the Brooklyn fans were upset ...they felt like he punked out at the trade deadline so he caught some heat there. He's catching heat in Orlando because they're losing one of their guys. And you can understand their frustration but then again nothing has happened yet, nothing ... (John Ireland cuts him off...)
Q: (Ireland) It's my contention that this is no longer a Laker issue, it's not a Cleveland issue, it's not a Houston issue. It is an Orlando issue.
A: No question.
Q: The question I can't answer and I want to know if you can ....is What do the Magic want? What are they waiting for in this deal? Do you know?
A: Well, they're faking moves like wrestling right now. This is pure WWE and from my standpoint it's been a big bluff on their side. I mean, they've turned down several deals that represent the same thing and when you keep turning down variations of the same exact deal... (Ireland cuts him off again)
Q: And when you say that you're talking about multiple picks and cap flexibility?
A: Yeah, that's it. Everyone's offering the same thing so when you're turning down multiple variations of the same deal, that says that you don't want to trade this guy.
Q: Do they think they can bring this guy to camp?
A: Uh no, they would be foolish ...
Q: The Nets have already moved on... The Nets were a ship that came into their port and welcomed Dwight and finally said we can't wait anymore...we're leaving. And the Lakers are probably going to do the same thing if the Magic don't pull the trigger.... I mean, the Lakers like their Center Andrew Bynum, they gotta go get Jordan Hill, and they've got to put together the rest of their roster. Is Orlando just going to sit there and hope that Dwight changes his mind?
A: Let me tell you something... Dwight being able to commit long term, the Lakers ain't going nowhere, ok? I like Andrew Bynum, I think he's solid and I think the Lakers can win a championship with him. I think the Lakers with Dwight Howard would be absolutely devastating if everyone accepts and is allowed to play their role. Dwight Howard is a franchise player.
Q: Let's just say that the Magic agree with your thinking.. that the Lakers will always be there and they can go to them whenever they want. If the Lakers extend Bynum which I'm being told is likely, they don't want him to be disgruntled so they'll offer him an extension (whether he takes it is another story) but let's say that the Lakers do what the Nets did with Brook Lopez. Then that ties up a Dwight trade until January 15th.
A: If that happens he's going to go to Brooklyn. If he finds his way back to Orlando, and he doesn't get to LA and you're trading him at the deadline, you're trading him to Brooklyn. The Magic's inep ude will be clear for everyone to see because they'll be accepting a deal that would have been less than what the Lakers are offering. It makes absolutely no sense but I don't think it gets that far. I think now with everything that's come out, with my reports that have been followed up by some of the great reporters out there in LA ...everyone knows this is about the Magic and no one else. You're either going to do the deal or you're not going to do the deal. But it's showtime and you guys gotta let us know what you're going to do. If you're going to trade him, trade him. But if you're not, stop telling people that you are. Stop taking calls because you're wasting everyone's time and people will have to move on.
Q: How long do you think the Lakers will wait because if they sign Jordan Hill that raises their number even more. They got Antwan Jamison on a minimum deal, that's good, but if they use their mini mid level ... Here's the one thing in your scenario that could really screw up Orlando. Let's say they start the season with Bynum and this Nash thing clicks, and the Lakers start the season 25-5. At that point, I think the Lakers sign Bynum and say forget it, we're moving on. Do you disagree?
A: There's a chance but look, I think they understand that Dwight's a better player than Bynum.
Q: Right, Orlando risks that the Lakers get off to a hot start and then the Lakers may pull the deal off the table.
A: Maybe. Maybe not, I mean this is about Orlando and what's being exposed... their inep ude. At the end of the day they have to move Dwight Howard because they're not going to lose him for nothing and I don't think at this point that they want to move him to Brooklyn and that's what you're talking about. I don't think Houston will be as aggressive to take Dwight but I think they will be aggressive to facilitate a trade.
Q: Is Cleveland an option for Dwight or is Cleveland more about Bynum?
A: (Incredulous) Dwight Howard going to Cleveland??!! Oh man, please.
Q: Strangely, I think Andrew Bynum would go to Cleveland. I know Bynum pretty well and I think that he'll go anywhere that's willing to pay him the max. He wants to get paid.
A: He's an interesting cat. He wants to be a free agent and he wants to weigh his options so I think Orlando may want to roll the dice. They can't lose Dwight Howard without getting anything else. They have a history of losing star players, Mac, Shaq, Grant, Penny, Dwight and it never works. Doc Rivers, Chauncey Billups and Varejao who ironically they want to bring back and personally I take Anderson Silva before I take Anderson Varejao. So this is squarely on the Orlando Magic. It's showtime for them and they really have to show and prove what they're gonna do. I don't think anyone will blame them if they wanted to make another run with Dwight but if you wanted to do that, that's the position you should have taken earlier. You still don't have a head coach, you're so far behind the 8 ball in making that process happen that it's just better to move on. So it's on them. They've gotta make a deal or not make a deal but they've got to stop wasting everyone's time.
It's Elnono or hater
amirite?
If he could get tutored by Wilt, Dwight could push the bas count into 4 digits easy.
Can always wait for Bynum to become an UFA next summer.
I'm glad I was busy all day, sounds like I missed out on a lotta BS. I don't buy any of this .
Agent: Howard won't sign extension
What a ing trainwreck.
seriously. he wants to explore free agency? his dumb ass could've done that this summer.
Dwight has no leverage, but steadily driving down his value and Orlando's leverage too.
