That's exactly what smear campaigns are made of, ad-hominems.
If you digged a little deeper, you would also find out that: No members of SBVT were aboard Kerry's boat during any of the incidents for which he was decorated.
Soptic is giving an opinion, as misguided, deceitful, implausible or wrong as you think it is, it's the opinion the group that paid for the ad is asking him to portray. Again, textbook ad-hominem smear campaign.
Not to mention that the bottomline is that both ads came from well-funded, well-oiled partisan groups behind them.
Honesty sounds a lot nicer when you don't get over $10 millions from Republican donors.

Attack ads that insult the intelligence of anyone paying attention? The score is always tied, IMO. No interest in arguing who's doing it more. It's a distraction.
It doesn't matter, Yoni. He passed the message he was paid to pass. Unlike you, most people don't feel the urge to dig into minutiae. Some of the swift boat veterans lied too, otherwise your snopes link wouldn't say "multiple". That's how smear campaign works, you mix some truth with some made up bull, and you get basically the stuff you post here 90% of the time.
Agreed. For somebody that has no horse in the race and wants to hear actual policy ideas, it's garbage.
It's an interesting point that Soptic also shot an earlier commercial for the Obama campaign about the plant closing. (didn't mention his wife at the time)
Strangely enough, Soptic was wearing exactly the same clothes he was wearing in this cancer commercial. Makes you wonder just how much cross pollination there is with campaign money/strategy and PAC money/strategy. Could they have even shot them the same day? I mean we all know it's illegal but what are the chances anyone would ever do anything about it?

Absolutely... like I said, very poorly executed. But some people are buying this , otherwise they wouldn't keep dropping millions on them. Just sad, tbh.
Dewhurst dropped some coin on a commercial that tried the same smear on Ted Cruz. Some lady accused Cruz of murdering her son.
