I don't think USC has the depth on the defensive front line or linebacker that LSU, Bama or UGA has.

I do how ever think they'll have a good year and probably make the BCG, unless Oregon trips them up. Their schedule is a cake walk like UGA's is this year. Besides the Oregon game they should be heavily favored vs the rest and Standford will probably be their 2nd hardest game.

With injuries to two stud defenders things aren't as rosey as they were for USC. We all know for them to be the big dog they have to stay healthy, like you mentioned they do not have the depth. They can probably win the Pac12 because those Pac12 defenses aren't all that but in with a stud SEC D without their best 22........hmmm?

Dean Smith of the University of Texas placed fourth in the 1952 Olympic 100m prior to winning a gold medal in the relay. Earlier in the season he won his only major championship when he took the AAU 100m. Smith later worked for many years as a film stuntman.

Well aware of Smith, I mentioned him in that All Texas 100m. While a good sprinter he wasn't a "great" sprinter. The great ones medal in the Olympic games. Talking individual events.

He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1967 and inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1968. His number, 22, has been retired by the University of Texas Longhorns and Detroit Lions.

    (NOT SO FAST MY FRIEND!)
If we go with era, sure Bobby Layne. Keep in mind 243 INTS to 196 TDs. He never passed for over 2400 yards in a season.

He was a great runner, rushed for over 2000 yards in his career. Scored 25 TD's on the ground. He was also a kicker. Completed less than 50% of his passes.
